January 26, 200620 yr I used to listen to alot of death metal, industrial, goth, etc. but now find myself drifting to alot of post metal and post rock.
January 26, 200620 yr yea man my fav bands are cradle of filth,lamb of god,rammstein, and children of bodom rammstein isnt deathmetal None of those bands are death metal, and rammstein + cradle of filth are like the lamest metal bands in the world. Rammstein is more of a Nu-Metal but i like some of there songs its a change when i dont have to listen to the lyrics. Rammstein is more industrial than it is Nu-Metal... They sing songs called "I [bleep] Blood", and "Sex With Needles". Is this the "more to music" that I am missing out on? Because if so, I sure am glad. I will admit it, their drummers are normally amazing. But too bad they have to act like complete fools on stage. Too bad they destroy their image by squirting blood all over their pictures, and by drawing dead people getting raped on their shirts. That's way cool eh? And don't even act like "growling" is music. I do not care what you say, it is not. What I listen to is real music, it takes real talent, and it isn't tasteless. Music should at least get a pitch or two... but no. February 17, 200620 yr Im just gunna say this randomly to MyPurpleCrayon Its like visual art. like some of those painting sell for millions i should be rich, my little 3 year old brother makes stuff that looks the exact same in school. as for music that implies to that.. its like you can be singing/screamin/moaning groaining whatever and call it "singing" you could be running around in circles and call that dancing you could be banging on a piano randomly and call it music.. im not taking sides.. i just wanted to say that although.. go song that implies to "you could be banging on a piano randomly and call it music." Saucerful of Secerts: Pink Floyd they just bang on there instruments in a random fashion and it sounds "in-tune" then they go into this kick butt meoldy at the end of the song (the Live in Pompeii Version)

I actually started listening to cannible corpse before i came back to this topic, i dont particurely like them but saying its not music because of the singer is just stupid. Guess opera isnt music, CANT UNDERSTAND THE WORdSS!!@@@ and orchestra has no chance in hell. Oh and no growling isnt music, but the 2 guitars, bass and drummer sure are. (Im assuming the lineup).

I was making a comparison Like you could sing horrible, or in this case "Growl" and then call it singing nothing to do with the art on album covers. that was just the basis for my thing you could just: splatter paint randomly on a peice of paper, and call it art and sell for millions. when a child with no motor skills could do the same thing.. get me now :)
