Will there be a crash tomorrow?

I would totally say it's likely. This is why I didn't risk investing into anything recently. Also it has been really hard buying or selling today so everyone must be waiting for tomorrow.

Yeah many botters dumped early, no doubt trying to hide evidence they botted and/or get the gp to throw to their main thinking that'll save em from jagex's crackdown cause OBVIOUSLY jagex cant spot a low level account selling 100k sharks then trading all the gp to another account for nothing in return where both accounts happen to be from same ip.

If bot-nuke day succeeds expect a huge rise in raw materials. They're already rising and that's with all of the goldfarmers dumping thier stocks. Removing all injection and reflection bots will essentially remove a good 90%* of the raw material gatherers from existance. Eventually players will move to fill in the demand, but with other forms of moneymaking like boss hunting currently being so much more gp/h than gathering, expect a decent rise before significant numbers of players move to gathering.

If the bot nuke day fails, well... every merchant will dump their stocks and prices will plummit.

Here's a visual representation of what I see happening.

Blue = up to tomorrow

Red = if bot nuke fails

Green = if bot nuke succeeds

Purple = bot nuke succeeds for a while, until bot makers find a way around it (this in my opinion is the most likely situation)

Every bot related item is rising because merchers think they'll make profit from bottable skills when the bots are gone. If the bots are gone.

When the bots come back in a day or two, everything is going to crash hard.

You people have way too much confidence in jagex...

Even so an account tht shows signs of having botted selling mass of resources then dropping gp...account from same ip picking up that gp.

Not as directly traceable as oh look weird trade lets investigate, but still traceable.

I sincerely doubt that they can run and keep records on what's dropped by whom, and who picks it up. For a company that barely runs server maintenance, that kind of hardware strain seems odd.

They must do the recent rolling back bots and linked account shows clear reports of WEALTH on the bot and on mains the wealth was traded too being removed along side the xp rollbacks.

Also how do you know they "barely run server maintenance"? I fail to see any proof of this.

There's your maintenance.

People are investing in resources right now, expecting a rise once bots are gone. That's the reason for the sudden price spike. They're probably selling rares in order to buy raw materials.

If they ran server maintenance, everyone playing on that server would be logged out for a fairly significant period of time, and you would be unable to access the worlds hosted on that server for a couple of hours. This happens only very rarely.

Personally I think we'll see a lot of volatility in the markets tomorrow/today now I guess, followed by a crash on wednesday. I made sure to stock up on slayer things as soon as the announcement was made, and I plan on getting some cheap herblore supplies when/if the crash happens as well.

Come on now guys, this could potentially be a good day for all of us. I personally hope to see an improvement in the amount of bots. As for a crash, I'm not so sure what'll happen. Lots of resources are obviously going to go up because of the lack of botting, but as for things like rares, I have no idea.

Ehhh, I don't know if I should be sharing my secrets about this... I've got a pretty big plan and if anyone else gets word, things might go crazy. I'd rather keep it to myself for everyone's sake. The entire Runescape economy could collapse.

One word: cabbage.
