January 19, 200620 yr I tend to think that a noob is an experienced player acting like a new player - someone who should know better. Someone who is just new to the game is a newbie :o) IMO

January 19, 200620 yr i like to think that there is a difference between a "newb" and a "noob" *The folowing are simply my opinions* "Newb" = Player that is new to the game and rather innocent. These players are usually influenced by "noobs" (see below) and often end up being one. (often, but not always). "Noob" = Player who CAN be new but not necessarily. This type of player is rude, arrogant and likes to call everyone else a "noob" despite their experience or behaviour in the game. A "noob" usually carries at least one of these traits. As said earlier players who are new (aKa newbs) come into the game and see the "noobs" being well...nooby, (begging, scamming etc), and think that this form of behaviour is accepted in the RuneScape community, therefore they too take on this behaviour and end up being "noobs" themselves. Just my opinion. A response would be appreciated. :) I think I'm back :O
January 19, 200620 yr Newb - New, inexperienced player. Noob - Obnoxious, rude, decietful, or otherwise unpleasant player. Sometimes confused with Newb. Choob - A player that has been immersed in the game long enough to not act like a Noob but chooses to anyway. Choob is by far the worst because a Noob and a Newb might not know how lame begging for "fr33 st00fz0rz!!!!11!!!11!" is while a Choob knows but doesn't care. EDIT: Lol Callum beat me oh well. PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? FPSers getting old? Give this game a try!

I agree with the first two and never knew what a choob was...lol thanks again. :D EDIT: RAHK...hmm...hey you're that guy with the CK in barrows! I love your research. :P I think I'm back :O

January 20, 200620 yr noob = term used by those who cannot express their ideas in an intelligible manner To be called a noob is an honor. It means that the person who calls you that was left speechless enough in your presence to be unable to come up with a better retort. # 1101 to 99 range on 12-18-0585 slayer on 12-18-05 with combat at 102; retired from members since Feb 06.Back since June 07. 2000+ total.

January 20, 200620 yr To be called a noob is an honor. It means that the person who calls you that was left speechless enough in your presence to be unable to come up with a better retort. AMEN The standard "noob" thrower is a guy with higher combat than you, who thinks combat is everything and having high combat means that one is intellegent, smart, witty, humorous, interesting, powerful, and old (as in age). The people who think like this are refered to as ch00bs http://www.soundclick.com/rztheheretic

January 20, 200620 yr Noob=Newb=Newbie=Newcomer.... So the 'noobs' calling other people noob because of their combat or total are wrong. There are players like me who play over 2 years still on combat 73(No,don't ask why  ) and people call me noob...lol...A players who plays over 2 years isn't a newcomer...

January 21, 200620 yr a noob means a lot of different things for me... you may be called a noob if: 1. you are begging 2. if youre stealing arrows 3. if you say "lol" every time you type somehting 4. if you have a main that will "0wn j00" 5. if you attack me at the greens (where i take NO FOOD AT ALL) and instantly pray 6. if youre trying to pressure someone 10+ levels lower than you to duel you for 500k 7. pretty much anything else that you would do to embarrass yourself

January 21, 200620 yr someone who is new to the game. what more could it mean??? I hate it when people call people noobs when they have been playing for a while!!!
January 21, 200620 yr In fact if you do not have 99 in every skill, you should not go around calling people noobs after all there's always someone superior to you out there. I don't have 99 in every skill and so won't say the word unless quoting it.
