Seems to me that there's a fair number of people having log-in issues since the most recent update (Dominion Tower) and even some before that.

 

I got stuck in the Dominion Tower when I logged out in the middle of an Endurance trial. After that, I could not log in past the lobby.

 

However, I could log in on my F2P noob fishing account from the same computer.

 

I logged in on one of my son's computers, and was able to access beyond the lobby. So I got out of the Dominion Tower and banked my gear at Mobilizing Armies bank. After that, I had no more issues with getting stuck in the lobby.

 

That said, I am still not able to get into my clan's citadel using the same computer that I could previously not gain access past the lobby. I am note sure if this is an issue with "cookies" or what it may be. I intend to try tonight and see if I can gain access from specific computers in my house.

 

I'd strongly suggest to anyone that's having issues logging in past the lobby to try and gain access to the same account from another computer and see if that helps.

I don't own a second computer so I cannot try that method.

 

Sadly, my other attempts haven't had much success. Tried to do the "uninstall Java and install a newer one", but it actually turned out worse since it wouldn't upload that version. I also made logged out on endurance mode yesterday.

 

EDIT: Couldn't log into my noob account either.

Worth deleting your cache, normally found at Local Disk (C:) in windows. Delete folders named .jagex_cache_32 &/or .jagex_cache_33 folders.

 

Worked for some in my clan others it didn't.

ive tried deleted cache, updating directx and java, multiple accs and computers, and still no login for me :(

I just cba to try and fix it myself - not my fault Jagex dont wanna fix their servers faster.

Can log on my noob and even then when I do the lag is ridiculous - about 5+ seconds for every Lag line...

We’re aware that some of you have been experiencing ongoing difficulty accessing the game, and that some of you in-game have noticed a reduced frame rate. Our first priority is to fix these problems as soon as we can.

 

Later today, we’ll be implementing a temporary measure that will allow users experiencing log-in problems to access RuneScape, while we work on implementing a long-term solution.

 

Meanwhile, we’re engaged in rigorous optimisation testing across all graphics modes to resolve the frame-rate problem. This is vital if we are to get to the root of the issue and ensure a permanent, all-encompassing fix for all users. We’ll put this in place as soon as we possibly can.

 

We apologise for any disruption that these technical issues may be causing you. Please have patience and rest assured that resolving these issues quickly is of foremost importance to us.

My FPS rates went down the drain when clusterflutter was introduced, and it's even worse now. I can't log in without getting log out in a few seconds. Me no likey!

Pirkka, nice to see another Finn here in tip.it. I've seen your name here in tip.it a few times (edited e.g monster drop thigns etc) like 4 years ago, and wondered if you're a Finn, and a week or so ago I saw you åosted on the 200m in all skills -thread and saw your Location there, and then I finally knew that you are a Finn :)

 

Also, do you know how many Finns there are in tip.it?

Finally figured out what was preventing me from installing new Java, but it looks like that will be trivial until they fix things.

 

Then again, I wonder if not playing at all is worse than having bots. *sigh*

Does anyone know when/if this has been implemented yet, because i'm still having problems and i fear that it is getting quite late (jagex time) for a fix for this. 2 full days of lost membership is very irritating.

agreed, but i disagree with him partially, you can't use runefest to tout this new great update, and then have a large portion of your playerbase unable to login to the game AT ALL, let alone use the new update that most of them were looking forward to. Im very dissapointed but i understand technical issues do happen, so its not like ill be cancelling my 5 yr+ membership, but it is very frustrating.

Uhhh, that was over 10 hours ago. I think it's already been unstickied. I'm still unable to login, as a matter of fact, that system udpate might've caused it. I was able to play yesterday, but not anymore today.

I haven't had any problems logging in yet, but I did notice that I was losing connection every few minutes during the first 30 minutes of game-play, then it sort of went back to normal. FPS is horrible still, even on lowest detail on OpenGL... Screen lags up opening the Quest Tab and Emotes Tab as well. ARGH!

 

I door-lag like crazy to a point where instead of the normal 2-3 seconds, it takes almost 10, sometimes longer, while opening doors. =( This pretty much started after ClusterFluster was initiated. :wall:

 

EDIT: Just checked... FPS is anywhere between 20-50% of the normal I get on minimum detail on OpenGL. :|

any ideas on how to reduce to effect of lag on duels starting :/ im already on lowest detail settings.

It appears to be that while I am unable to log in, playing is a severe issue itself due to lagging to the point it's hard to enjoy playing. Perhaps I was a little lucky to not be involved in the torment.

 

Since I don't own a second computer and logged out in the tower itself, I guess I will resort to other games, such as Arcanists or whatever interesting stuff happens to be on other flash game sites. :^_^:
