November 7, 201114 yr This is my current melee gear. I know I lack some stuff but which would be more important first? Barrows gloves? Better rings? A DFS maybe? Besides that, I also need people to recommend what quests I need to do next, my adventurer's log can be found here. http://services.runescape.com/m=adventurers-log/display_player_profile.ws?searchName=Plasma+2 Thanks in advance. November 7, 201114 yr A chaotic rapier, barrows gloves and a berserker ring (i) should be your top priority. Defender is mostly more useful than a DFS so no need to get one. I mean if you have money left over then you should get your herblore level up instead to make super antifires. Heck, get it high enough to make extreme pots. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
November 7, 201114 yr Author I'm not getting a rapier until I get 80 def tbh. And don't have the requirements for barrows gloves yet. [hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide]Never gonna give you up.[/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide]"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. November 7, 201114 yr Then get the requirements for RFD. They are simply amazing for their versatility and power and it doesn't seem like you'll be getting goliath gloves any time soon. The best ring upgrade you could get right now is a zerker (i). It is up to you if you want to grind 20+ hours for the imbue. I would also say that prayer takes priority over extremes if you're melee focused, but exts would probably a more realistic short term goal. What are your overall goals in this game? Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 7, 201114 yr Author Complete as much quests as I can, aswell as get up some decent stats. November 7, 201114 yr I would honestly look through all the quests and then decide what storylines/rewards interest you. When I first got membs and was a total noob, I did just that. For example I wanted to unlock a whole bunch of transportation methods across Runescape, so I looked into the Fairy and Tree Gnome quest lines. I read the synopsis for the Myreque quests, became interested, and decided that I would get the levels to do that line. Picking mid/high requirement quests that you really want to accomplish really gives a good set of goals. Sometimes I would finish a bunch of quests just to finish one quest that gave me enough XP in a skill that was required for the real quest I wanted to do  You could at a list of quests or perhaps click on your skills in-game to bring up what you can do with the skill. It will typically tell you that you need a certain quest to use certain things. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 7, 201114 yr Your gear is fine. Just do all the quests. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
November 8, 201114 yr Your biggest upgrade right now would be rapier, after that berserker (i), after that barrows/goliath gloves, after that regular berserker ring. However the time required to get them is approximately regular berserker > barrows gloves > rapier > imbued rings so it's up to you what to get. Goliath gloves are better than barrows in a sense, but they have a few drawbacks (degrade, lost on death, long time to obtain) and require even more quests (Nomad's Requiem, Do No Evil, Blood Runs Deep, The Void Stares Back, Love Story). November 8, 201114 yr Author I'm already working in barrows gloves now. Rapier isn't that much of a priority yet as I'm mainly doing quests. I'm wondering what quests should I do to unlock majority of other quests? (I.e Swan song?) Defender of Varrock and Curse of Arrav are one of my priorities. November 8, 201114 yr WGS has a lot of quests that are required for it. The RSwiki very nicely breaks down all of the required quests and their subrequirements if you go to the Required Quests and unhide them Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 9, 201114 yr @ Q, you missed out the hardest requirment for goliath gloves, WGS. (Which requires you getting barrow gloves anyway) Speaking of which, the requirments for WGS and stats and equipment to kill TDs efficiently should be every med level players goal. They're one of the most rewarding creatures to kill, getting the required stats and quests will improve your account a lot, and in my opinion, they're a lot of fun to fight compared to boring slayer creatures. Definatley get a regular berseker ring asap, it's only about 3.5m and gives +4 strength. Rapier would obviously be the biggest upgrade, i'm not sure how many tokens you still need, but even 200k doesn't take long when you're already 82 dungeoneering.Just do quests whenever you want to take a break from training or whatever else you do on RS. B gloves will come to you in time.Imbuing your zerker ring is another +4 strength, and very useful, but does take a long time. You're limited to a few ranks per hour so it will take at the very least 25 hours gameplay, but getting the ranks for the hour only takes about 40 minutes, so you can spend the other 20 doing something else, like fletching in the nearby bank, or watching tv. You should definatley start training summoning, or at least collecting charms, as it's essential for almost everything at high levels. Oh. DFS is practically useless for anything in runescape. Train herblore or prayer with the money instead.
November 10, 201114 yr Author WGS has a lot of quests that are required for it. The RSwiki very nicely breaks down all of the required quests and their subrequirements if you go to the Required Quests and unhide them This is the most helpful advice so far. :) @Powerfrog: I was about 104 combat when I got members, I collect every charm I see and get, recently dumped all my gold ones. Do you recommend training Slayer furthur? Do you recommend training Slayer furthur?I've never been a fan of slayer myself. The only reason to train it is if you actually want to train slayer/total level, it's very rarely BETTER than killing whatever you want. For example, waterfiends or rock lobsters have a higher charm rate than any slayer task, other than that 1/50 chance you get a waterfiends task and can use your slayer helm to speed it up a tad for an hour or two. But there is a new slayer dungeon coming out, that may bring with it an epic source of XP or money, and make everyone want to train slayer.
November 10, 201114 yr You should keep training slayer because your slayer level is too low. 67 is the minimum you should be aiming for, since you need it for questing. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
November 10, 201114 yr Author I'm aiming 55 so I can use broad bolts. What should I use my points on first? Learning to fletch broad bolts? [hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide]Never gonna give you up.[/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide]"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. November 10, 201114 yr I'd say learn to make slayer rings. You can buy broad bolts if you need em. After that, go for the slayer helm, and then the fletching. Don't be afraid to block crappy tasks before you buy the abilities, though. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
November 10, 201114 yr I'd say the primary benefits to slayer are dungeoneering items and first day rushes on new slayer monsters, which typically give items that can be sold for stupid amounts of cash during the early days of release. November 10, 201114 yr I would say helm is the only thing you should prioritize. You can live without broadbolt fletching (dirt cheap to buy anyway) and rings are cheap enough to buy with points. I would say just try as many tasks and then start deciding which tasks you absolutely hate. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 10, 201114 yr I would say that you block those tasks that you yourself feel irritating or unecessary. Myself I am blocking those *beep* kalphite tasks... Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
November 10, 201114 yr ... Rings are not cheap to buy at all, if you're using them properly (quick fairy ring access). Fletching unlocks the best training method for most players and should be prioritised.
November 10, 201114 yr Author In use of points, I'm going by:1. Rings2. Slayer helmet3. Fletching bolts. I'm not going to be training fletching any time soon, so those can wait I suppose. If I need I'll get bolts first. Is that right? Also, I'm 35 hunter atm, I need higher (50-60) for Defender of Varrock and Hunt for Red Raktuber. where would be a good spot to train? At the moment, I'm doing ferrets and using them to flush rabbits. [hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide][hide]Never gonna give you up.[/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide][/hide]"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. November 10, 201114 yr The thing is you can live without the rings for quick access to the fairy network or just buy a few for urgent uses if you're really desperate. Glory->Edgeville or Ardy cape monastery TP is still fairly fast and it's like a 10 second difference. There are also still very good alternatives to broad bolt fletching and training fletching in general is something you can hold off on since it has basically no use other than quest requirements. Of course when I think about it, there's nothing worth blocking/canceling at your slayer level, so you might as well get them. Your priority ranking seems about right. As for hunter, I'd suggest swamp lizards in the Morytania swamps. However you can't get strange rocks from it iirc. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

So you block one of the best slayer exp/hr and best sources of blue charms in the game....why? Even if you don't cannon them, which you should, they are a fast task.
