Aten
After actually having to try in order to successfully crash people on slayer tasks, given that I don't have a steel titan I'd like to just camp something right now to get the charms for 99 summ rather than wait it out with slayer. Yeah camping is somewhat xp waste, but that aside... Max melee, 95 range, 99 magic, 96 prayer, ovls, 91 summ, pretty much have most gear accessible... Where should I camp for the fastest crims/blues and what setup should I use? Also, I haven't tried familiarization yet, but is the best place to camp for 3x different from the best charm dropper normally (can't imagine this to be the case, but who knows...)? TDs, glakkers, CT fiends, soa miths, gano, barraging rock lobs? Follow my road to 5.6/Gold Reaper/True Trim - DAT BLOG
Th e Doctor
Glakkers are good, CT waterfiends are best with triple charms I believe. CannoningI' kalphites in the Do No Evil lair is about as good summoning xp through blue charms as cannoning black demons/ killing AC waterfiends. I'd say CT fiends are your best bet for triples and do glakkers after that for cash/effigies/charms. Ambler
From what I've seen, Glacors are decent blues/ crims, while for triple charms you should go to Chaos Tunnel or Ancient Cavern 'fiends. ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
The_Fray
The best place for 2x charms is CT fiends. I would barrage rock lobsters as they seem to provide the best charms overall, if you are willing to spend the money that is. Current rune prices are a bit high. JeRambo
I'd do black demons in taverly ... ~120 crims/hr and you would get a lot of effigies as well as range XP. Setup would be full bandos, steads, fc, rapier, ovls, tort, urns, herbicide, wrench, etc. Protect melee. Or TDs for like 40 blues/hr and good cash as well. That's what I did for most of my XP. Aten
Thanks for the advice guys, and yeah I want to stay away from rock lobs if possible given that there's no other obvious benefits to camping them. I guess I'll alternate black demons and glacors then :> For black demons, am I better off setting up cannon, hiding and then doing something else (while ovl'd ofc) so it becomes effectively multi? Hi 200m fletch + I'm already max melee but not 99 ranged. Is this faster charms or should I just stick to meleeing? The cash loss isn't really a huge deal. JeRambo
I would just melee and cannon, not fletch. Meleeing is faster charms. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. Quyneax
There's also a couple of other methods out there, though Riptide covered most of them well: Cannon + titan + maul on rock lobsters, using the 7 lobster spot past the King's lair ladder.Cave crawlers, mostly greens but lots of effigies (high cost). Aten
Bumping this because my situation has changed slightly (namely, I will be getting 99 ranged by cannoning stuff for champion scrolls per my trimmed comp goal + I already finished prayer... which leaves summ only. Sadly that means all other xp gained is "wasted")... I had originally planned to go to Glacors, but then I read Riptide's post again and noticed the absurdly large difference between rock lobs and glakkers... I've set aside a large portion of my bank for cannonballs/SoAing/leech floor money so I don't have as much mobilisable liquid $ as I'd like right now (EDIT: for gathering charms). How much would I approximately look to be spending at rock lobs per hour? Also, what's the optimal gear for barraging there? I recall Enaid mentioning sol + akrisae > cs + virtus here. Would battle robes be an even better alternative? I was thinking battle robes, asn, SW cape, ragefire, seers i, sol, tome of frost, barrows gloves, geyser titan, ovls, praying melee and augury? Quyneax
Since you have money to spare, I'd just use Akrisae's robes with soul wars cape, sol, arcane shield and stuff. No familiar, only pray during luring, overloads are a waste. If you want to spend all that money you should cannon them (either with storm or barrage, not sure which is best). Powerfrog
Probably not one of the best, but KBD is really suprisingly good crimsons. He drops 4 at a time very commonly. Only problem is the fact theres only one of him, and his spawn rate is like 60 seconds or something*. Still well over 100 crims an hour, and a fairly decent profit. *Why the hell does no one document spawn times of bosses? It seems really important for finding killrates yet none of the big sites, including tip.it, seem to document it.

Powerfrog
So i just did a quick check. on a 1100 pop world, kbd took almost exactly 50 seconds to respawn. So i'm assuming max pop is 30 second spawns. Consistant 30 second kills doesn't seem out of the question, especially with the use of spec restores. So 60 kills an hour is about:20.4 golds an hour9.6 greens an hour146.4 crimsons an hour3.6 blues an hour0.3 effigies an hour Actually beats everything on jd13's list in terms of charms apart from waterfiends and lobsters. And seems pretty identical to what i get in AC waterfiends. I'm shocked.

bladekill133
At 1100 pop, I get about 40 kph using iron titan (no spec restore). At many times, 1100 is close to the max pop of any world, and there's rarely ever more than like 2-3 worlds above that mark. It's not comparable to other methods. EDIT: Not only that, but waterfiends should be more than 146 crims per hour in CT with iron titan. I can get 290 kph on task, and wouldn't even need 200 kph to beat KBD. EDIT 2: Repeated the test, again 40 kph.

Theres very little competition, and most of it is low level.
