Reset hasn't happened yet.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

So the earliest we can expect it would be 19 hours time.

Poland and Ukraine players probably get on with the Russian's as well. So that's like 74 players who, let's say 50% enjoy pillaging. So 37 players, of the 176.

37/176 chance that the player you bump into will kill you and your family. DEM ODDS.

I don't know, Sere seems like the type to kill you soon as look at you, so really your odd are probably 1 in 9 of them not trying to kill you.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I've been making a forest in minecraft, it is now so huge that my three floor (not including basements) stone mansion seems like a small shed in the middle of it, I will upload a screenie as soon as the last saplings have grown.

I started an account for Haven and Hearth two days ago while lurking these forums. I died in a very short time. I would love to join your village. I don't want to feel trapped though, for example having some sort of King or Leader will be a huge turn off for me.

Download Cartographer, it maps your minecraft world for you.

So you can show off megastructures and such.

Who cares, Rocco?

Anyways a mapper is unneccessary, I've got a (previously floating) rock that gives me a perfect view.

I would say higher, since we only started talking about HnH today, and a new person would have no incentive to lie.

In any event, hello new person.

Hello Archimage.

Would anybody else be willing to answer my questions seeing as Abert is offline.

I just want to say thank you in advance for volunteering to answer my questions, its a great help! :)

1.) Can you just explain to me more about what hegemony is and its game mechanics. I want to basically know how you research technologys and control troops.

2.) what do I have to download to play hegemony?

3.) If I join hegemony late will my kingdom still be as powerful as people who joined before me?

4.) Is dungeoneering basically D&D? If so ignore question 5

5.) I don't get dungeoneering, can you explain that.

Thank you for your time.

1 You just say what you do.

2 An internet browser.

3 No, but by playing well you can make up for it.

4 Yes, but a lot more freeform.

Depends entirely on the mod of a specific game.

If you imagine real life where someone acts as the voice of reality.

I'm installing open office (but will be getting Microsoft office in the mail sometime in the future).

I am planning on getting PhotoShop instead of gimp.

I still need more information pertaining to dungeoneering.

qTLQRuS.png

I would suggest taking part, as that is the only true explaination.

Will do.

qTLQRuS.png

None of us were ever taught how to do it, Archi just started the first game and we just did what we just stated saying what our characters did, wether or not it was done exactly as he intended we don't know, but we had a great time.

Example of an action:

Hakon headbutts a tree.

Action done in IRC (realtime chat):

/me headbutts a tree.

Hakon is my generic name in all games but Space, it's actually Håkon but everyone else here would have to use alt+0741 to make the å.

Though some of us frown on the use of /me for actions, as it has the much more useful task of drawing the moderator's attention to a specific point or to seperate in game comments from metagame comments.

The same people tend to dislike the third person narrative, which they are forced to use with the /me system.

Though generally the moderator will make a decision of some kind.

Should we keep a watch on the H&H thread for when the reset happens? Such as, a post telling that it went through?

When we know, we will know.

Maybe if we agree not to go and instantly establish a house and refuse to leave...instead post the location we want the town to be...

Then we can choose the 'best' location and respawn there.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That'd work well.

Basically we've gone through several iterations of Dungeoneering, so many of the ideas carry over. It takes less than five minutes to see how it works.

I dunno. I have a pretty specific idea of where I want to end up, so I might have to run there and set up a spot as soon as the game starts.

Our town needs a mine of some sort, that's definite. Being near a river would be good. I'm assuming that the map won't be regenerated, so maybe someone could go scout a spot now?

They're regenerating the map, from what I can tell.

If you guys use key alts, at the very least share one account for this purpose and make a strict rule that the gatekeeper neither walks outside the village nor does the key ever leave the gatekeeper's inventory.

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

Ooh, Haven and Hearth. Looking forwards to it.

I'm still in the deteriorating ruins of World's End as Cerentis and Keludar. Not much to do. The reset will be a welcome change of pace.

EDIT: We need a defined set of roles. Perhaps we could simply have several shared accounts, each with specialized characters, in addition to our own? Every day we could choose who needs to do what, and they'll take, say, the farmer. That way we don't have to worry about crossing-over of skills limiting our efficiency, and whenever anyone performs a task we'll all benefit.

No worries Resistance. Lots of us feel that way as well, hence why we kill each other in Hegemony rather than submit until the last of our armies have been destroyed and our lands mostly destroyed.

Nex, I thought we were going more individualistic this time around. Anyone can specialize if they want, but if they want some sort of resource that another person possesses, then logically they would have to pay with their own specialist creation. The reason I left Falador was that I ended up providing most of the food for a while and never ended up doing much else, which I think you remember. Hence why I left with Doom to the island paradise!

Personally I will share the early seeds that I obtain (after farming it then harvesting it, sharing some of the resulting seeds), as that would only benefit us all, since we can't possibly keep farming every seed that we receive from harvesting and it would be better just to give to each other for the short run. Of course I would also give food if someone was really starving and they were going to die or something. After a certain point, it makes sense for capitalism to come into effect and everyone trading for what they needed.
