Im sorry if my posts earlier were a bit stupid and short, I was quite tired and thus my post quality rapidly declined. I dont understand the exact meaning of being a hex (whether it was an old troll account or whether it is simply synonymous with bad) however I am extremely sorry if my posts came across as stupid, mindless and unspecific.

When I asked whether I wanted to be a chancellor I didnt mean that I wanted to be chancellor in the sense that Bismarck or Hitler were, I meant chancellor in the sense that I would be in charge of economic matters. I plan on running a bank in the centre of the village which people will be able to deposit there items in, the bank will be secured from thieves and such and will allow people to keep things safe without having to worry about things being stolen.

Our first village (the one we make before we actually find a mine) has only one purpose. To supply us with the means AND the ways of getting to a mine. This includes supplies for travelling, 30+ rustroot potions (I'm serious) and enough food for a 2 hour travel. And enough resources to start the means of forming a new village (So wood and food)

But yes, I think we should have a three stage strategy.

 

1) We build a town 'somewhere', level up our characters, decide our general role in the game, get rustroots, ect.

2) We find an Iron mine and build a Brick Wall around that, about 5 by 5, with a claim*, we then establish a 'hoard' inside the mine itself...Storing all of the valuable stuff. (That way everything is safe as can be, you can also claim land in mines, so you can store personal stuff if you like...I don't think you can build walls though.)

3) We build a wooden palisade around the wall, with a short(20 tiles) 'tunnel' leading to a second town, which is MASSIVE. Most of which is forest, bit of farm land, and houses for anyone who desperately wants them.

 

 

Having the mine as an extrusion, rather than as the core of our settlement, means we have a far greater chance to evacuate in the case of a breach...Since they will either go for the mine, or they will go for the settlement(Which ideally would be so massive that it would give us a chance to leg it. :grin: )

 

Now you may be thinking 'BUT THE MINE IS UBER IMPORTANT' It is...But the mine can't run...If team raider turns up we either need to be strong enough to repel their assault (in which case where the mine is isn't majorly important) or we need time to evacuate...because when it comes down to it, a mine will take a couple of days to scout out and find, a character will take a couple of weeks to build back up...the items probably the same.

 

It also means that taking over the mine won't be as easy as grabbing the village claim when we are all dead...Kind of a two finger salute to our raiders. :wink:

 

 

*I would suggest I (Or Mather maybe, Ross if he was willing to play moderator :grin: ) own the claim...since we don't need someone who will go 'Give me all your stuff or I am keeping the mine.' On a seperate account, so no one can kill it and declaim it like that.

Sorry, nothing against you, but. Handling money (as that is basically what you want to do) is a trust exercise. We only use real life banks cause we've grown to trust that they wont steal you money, and that took quite awhile.

 

I'm pretty sure there's an opening sometime in the future, but we really need to know more about you.

 

From our perspective, you're just a person who has shown up claiming to know stuff about this game, with no actual evidence. You're also quite suspcious, and such. I'm sure after a week or so that'll go and we'll be more inclined to agree to such a position.

I will be playing three characters overall.

 

One full nature, one full industry, and another full nature with fightings. Essentially I will use my first two and live in a location that I like, generally getting stronger. Meanwhile, my third will live in the city with you. Hence I will always have a secret safe location incase the city is attacked (So like I could sacrifice my character to save youz) and still help out on city projects.
