Grim_ Posted January 20, 2011 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Well, the thing is it was supposed to be a parody of all of the dystopian sci-fi settings (everything over the top stupidly dark, stupid, decaying empire, etc.) turned up to 15 and given meth-amphetamines. It's supposed to be taken with a grain of salt (or assault harharhar) and lightly even for that. That being said, some parts of the Imperial guard lore are admittedly mildly depressing and can be rather inspirational (depending upon how you play the guard). Just cause people are scared of change doesn't mean that when their current played game is being bought by another company, it instantly means they're sell outs. Also most of their games create a tonne of paradoxes each time they are run...For instance, I am playing Victoria 2 now and Switzerland is allied to France in a war against the North German Confederation!
