I had written a post but Archi has already summed up my ideas in a more concise and less insulting format.

 

Who here is interested in role-plays, where players tell a story while playing?

You mean DnD? Which we've tried too many times.

I mean without a levelling system at all, players just role-play what they do.

Resistance, I'm into that sort of thing, Roleplaying as you described. :P Do it all the time over texting.

 

So far I've done a Terminator one, 3 ninja ones and one featuring a princess (which was quiet lame)

I'd be up for it, but I wouldn't want it based of anything.

 

Then again games that don't have any form of progression stagnate and become boring so quickly.

The story progresses, Ico, but the characters don't gain levels or magic skill points.

I have to agree with mather and icu, most memes are funny if executed properly, just not when some idiot goes around spouting them because he thinks it makes him funny.

 

Rickrolling actually comes from 4chan though. The word eggroll got filtered to duckroll, and people started misdirecting others to sites with an image or video of one of those pull duck toys. Somewhere along the line someone came up with the idea to rickroll by sending people to that Rick Astley song. Youtube didn't create it at all.

But the piddling around at level 0 gets old after a while, so I personally wish Linx would just pick up the story where we left off or say that there is a wierd disturbance in the force and we are all teleported to another world of her creation.

Even those of the highest intelligence can enjoy the lowest of humor.

Though I am per definition a genius (140+ IQ), I can find entertainment in something as simple as a random word; biff (steak).

 

While your 'Intelligence' (Whole other debate there) may be high, your vocabulary, literacy and general language skills are woefully subpar if you find the mispronouncation of a mono-syllabic word to be humourous...

Retech, obviously you would want that, Jen had the highest levels.

Leveling won't be as slow and tedious as she's only going to use one decimal and no exp penalty on death.

I just finished that side-quest to become a lich, and I haven't had much of a chance to play around with that.

 

Probably not going to spend the time to level again, for the third time, only for the game to end before I get to use it.

The point was that we never got to actually run rampant yet. The game ended before we went rampant.

 

And the story arc was only a quarter finished.

It's nice to start anew sometimes.

I'm not exactly creative with names. I'm currently playing in three Pathfinder games, and all my characters are named Jen, though they are all hugely different in what they actually are, apart from their names.

You could always borrow a name from the list I made of NPCs for DE.

Or I could generate a new list of names and you could use one of those Retech. I'm good at coming up with names

There are multiple random name generators on the internet.

Point taken, Resistance. But how many of them have alternate spellings? Or replace "i" with "y"?

When in doubt for creating a character name, just do consonant-vowel-consonant-consonant-vowel and repeat until it meets approval, adding occasional apostrophes if need be.

I generally go for meaningful names, looking up names that have meanings and relating them to my character.

I said occasional apostrophes. One every few names is good, but Drowtales does apostrophe overkill.
