Oh, retaliation for said needless violence isn't wrong. I should have been more specific. I meant the first blow in this type of situation is usually completely needless/heartless/stupid/idiotic/and so on and so forth.

It's true. Politics is politics. They suck, so we lol at them. Because they are wrong in every way, shape and form. The only decent thing about them is....well....I really don't know. There is nothing great about them. All they do is set an agenda of judgement and bias.

To have a world without politics, there would either need to be one worldwide dictatorial government, or at least two dictatorial governments who completely prevented all interaction between each other (no immigration, no communication, etc...). It's a matter of bad and worse.

They didn't just wander out, mindlessly pull out a gun and shoot someone.

 

They did it because they believe he was a threat. The exact same justification any dictator or tyrant has ever used, and any democracy or constitutional state.

I don't really watch the news that much, but when I heard of the riots, I was told the man that was shot by the police was not unarmed, but infact had a gun that had blanks.

 

Which in the police defense, you don't really know if gun carries blanks or not, and if they're holding a gun then they're liable to be killed.

Exactly.

Everything was justified, everything happened for a reason...and still some people feel they have a right to condemn.

You know as well as I do that that would not work, Archi. It's not in the human nature. Arguments, and hence politics, would break out. I'm not just talking about foreign relations.

 

In the end, politics is too broad a topic to make generalizations about. Large-scale anarchy is always a bad thing, and if we want government then we will probably get politics too.

 

Also the way I've been using the word 'politics' sounds really stupid.

I mean, almost none of us here take the slightest interest in politics and yet the world goes on.

 

If those politicans suddenly stopped existing then what would have actually changed?
