Of course it's unique, FT is one of the few subforums which were deemed too active to count towards official posts, hence only a very few others have that chance.

It makes sense both ways though. There are a lot of posts and with threads like "Last one to post wins!" essentially being controlled spam... Same as Blogscape and Rate This! I think.

 

If that isn't enough, there's the 'active postcount' thing on the profile page. Mather has over 10,000 posts, for example.

I was here to witness it's creation and it did increase your post count.

 

I remember having to PM archimage for posting privileges because it was a closed community. I didn't bother being very active though. It's a shame.

Actually, if I remember correctly it was during Dungeoneering... a period of high activity and high content.

Some of us (Mather and Me spring to mind) then went and posted that we were the most active forum.

Within a month we had the posting count priviledges removed and a bunch of people posting that 'They didn't think it was important'.

 

 

Sorta like setting fire to a barn because you don't think it is important...

Removing the post count thingy was a totally meaningless act...as they said at the time...So if they told you something different they are either lying to you or lying to us, and since we didn't have a particularly high spam to post ratio (During Dungeoneering it was something like 1 to 200 posts) it seems fairly obvious that they forgot why they did it because it wasn't very important, and so fell back onto 'It was Spam' because that is the nominal reason.

 

 

 

Though you are implying that it was punishment for not reporting stuff...
