Cuz after picking up a 'blue charm' drop i now have 2 in my invy... and ive already pulled off several practically back to back scims. 2 in 3 and 2 in 4 kills earlier.

 

So ya...idk. lol

 

EDIT: ONLY 3.5 Hours for the first effigy. Came 1.5 hours into this trip, after 3 sticks, 7 scims, and 6 squares.

Mummies are being nerfed with the update in a few hours. The 10LP ones will no longer drop effigies - Grr.

 

This is actually going to be changed, I didn't realise that those mummies only had 10hp when I told Emilee it was fine. After this update, the mummies with 10hp will no longer drop effigies.

Seems like the far more logical solution would be to make their hitpoints the same as normal mummies rather than just remove effigies as a drop. These are still AFKable for champion scrolls and a pretty decent profit rate for AFK combat. Not that I'm complaining.

The drop rate of ancient effigies is now reduced, and will further decrease in accordance with the number of effigies that you have banked or in your inventory. If you have 5 or more ancient effigies, you will no longer receive them as drops until you possess 4 or fewer.

Considering this method only got popular once the OP leaked it, I'm not surprised that Jagex overlooked it. Sure, they should know about their game, and by playing it on normal accounts they should have a general feel of how people play their creations, but if someone spends 8h/day making RS, I think the last thing they would want to do is play Efficiencyscape. Also keep in mind that the percentage of players with the in depth knowledge off all things efficient is VERY low. Even most people who do efficient gameplay, I would assume, don't understand why it's efficient.

Most of them are noobs, most likely.

 

@Otm: There are only a handful of people that legitimately understand how most of the game works and can take advantage of it. There rest of them just do what we say or pretend efficiency doesn't take fun into account and flame us.

Well yes not like people have been putting pictures of hundreds of effigies on different forums, then detailed how they got them. :P
