Oy_the_Great
Well, last week I've borrowed a collection of albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I rarely listen to any of that music apart from the occasional Beatles/The Who/The Rolling Stones etc my father listens to. But now that I'm into these bands, I really started to appreciate this music. So here's my question: what is the best, or your favourite band from before the eightees? My vote goes to Queen. apinagez
I love that music :) My vote is for Dire Straits, even though they are 75>, and have several crappy songs, when they produce good music, they produce good music. I really like Pink Floyd and Deep Purple as well. ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me

Hotnoodles
I adore music from decades ago. Some of my favorite bands/singers would have to be The Doors, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles and John Denver.

How2PK
Mothers of Invention (more people should listen to them), Pink Floyd. The rest of that list that got quoted by Rick and Matt. The Beach Boys are worth a mention as well. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Bubsa
Great bands mentioned so far. I'd include The Stranglers to those mentioned. I think they were formed in 1974. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
How2PK
Oh, I'd like to mention The Average White Band. They're a great band form the '70's (If I am correct), they're the first (correct me if I am wrong) white (got one maybe two black members) band who got in the whole Motown concept. Deff. worth checking out. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
