April 19, 201214 yr Right now I'm level 86 in Dungeoneering, so it's a lot easier to find floors. Which is why I'm planning to get to level 99 at the very least. However, it's hard to Dungeoneer like the pros because no one wants to accept someone who is under 100 Dungeoneering and even if they do, they rarely want to teach them. If possible, is there any advice you can give me? I've probably learned all that I can by myself, so I'm wondering if you have any tips that I might've not known from Dungeoneering with randoms.
April 19, 201214 yr Have you considered applying to some of the Dung clans? There are a few teaching clans out there if you are willing to learn. Either way you choose, you should read over these guides:Tip.It's Advanced DG guideBassy's guideMazhar's guide (designed for 110+, but still has useful tips)And of course, DGS' official guides:Map Reading & PathingPuzzlesBossesBindsAcronyms Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

I didn't know this either:"The best way to do this [Monolith] is to have your team on the west and south sides, because the Shades never spawn east or north."And this:"Take off the Plate. If you have a Platebody equipped, you should take it off. Doing so, and praying Protect from Range, leaves you very protected (almost completely) from the Shades' attacks (which due to your plate being off, will be Range-based)."They attack based on your equipment? What does this guide mean? "You will be able to tell this one apart from your teammates by him or her either immediately setting out to fish or mine in the same room in which you're killing something, or basically the minute you see a Worldbearer Summoning familiar and they already have a Shadow Silk Hood." What summoning combat monsters are typical? Gotta remember:The keyer takes the direction opposite of it map location Omg, those guides on Xp Waste are insane. This is crazy.
April 20, 201214 yr Well, your main ring class should be berserker unless you are some type of pure. If you had a hex, you would have desperado as your secondary. If you had a surgebox bound in your ammo slot, you would have blazer/blitzer as your secondary. With a law runes bind, you are only using one attack style, so having a skilling ring as secondary is nice for the quick skilling that might come along or to reduce damage from those long puzzle rooms. Generally, you'll only make bloodragers (ore based), since they have an awesome def lowering spec and ore is easy to come by. I'm not really "familiar" with the DG meta game anymore since I haven't really trained the skill hardcore in about half a year. I'm not sure when (if at all anymore) another combat familiar would be better. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
April 20, 201214 yr Deathslingers work well against necrolord. And other then that, use ragers. Granted on some bosses they aren't necessary, but some of them they help out A LOT on. A lot of dungeoneering comes from practice. Sure, you can read all of the guides you want and those certainly help, but there is nothing better then going out and doing it. Are you trying to find teams on the dg worlds? Like 77 or 148? You could try dg clans like dung mates or dg squires to start off with. It's some variation of those names, and I can't remember if those are friends chats vs real clans or not, but as far as I know they don't require any application stuff. It's also important to note and recognize where you want to go concerning your dg knowledge. Are you content being an average dger? Someone who is a gd slave and knows how to lay a personal gate? Or do you want to become a keybag and have the gt stapled to your ass? There's a wide range of skill, all requiring differing amounts of commitment to learning.

Anyways, can someone answer the other three questions I had about some of the guides? I'm still trying to get the puzzles down pat.Like:Why would having law runes binded make it advisable to get the gatherer's ring upgrades? (at least, that's what is implied right)Do Shades base their attacks by your type of worn equipment? And I don't understand how this describes a "wagon" type player."You will be able to tell this one apart from your teammates by him or her either immediately setting out to fish or mine in the same room in which you're killing something, or basically the minute you see a Worldbearer Summoning familiar and they already have a Shadow Silk Hood."
April 20, 201214 yr I already answered your question about gatherer ring, I'm not sure about shades since I haven't been following DG meta-game, and those players are wagons because they are uselessly skilling in a dungeon. There's no need to summon a BoB or fish for food. If you (universally speaking here) are doing this, then you will be laughed at and most likely kicked from the party. It's faster experience to just rush the floors. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

April 20, 201214 yr If you want to join a dungeoneering clan the main ones that come to mind are EoE and Dgs, but Dgs can be a bit fierce with their acceptance.

I'm having issues learning and i have high enough combat stats and skills to get by.
April 22, 201214 yr Topic hijack, especially since its dead. I read through the gurides listed below, and I couldnt find the a definition for what all the lingo is when trying to find a public team in a dg world? Like Occ+3 or so on.
April 22, 201214 yr It's listed in the Acronym guide. Occ +3 means the player is advertising for a floor in the occult theme, and needs 3 more players in order to reach the max amount (i.e. 5). Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
