Been meaning to post something like this for a while, and as I was falling asleep last night (the night before school started) I finally began to form some ideas about what I'd like to put in this. This will most likely end up as a ramble and contains a lot about me personally. If you honestly don't care about my past problems or feelings you don't have to read it, I wont be offended, skip the the tl;dr if you'd like since some of this is pretty heavy. Anyways, I really want to thank everyone in EoE, who has been EoE, or even just guested. I never expected anything like this to happen, sure EoE is still a pretty casual clan, but from where it started, it has come a long way and I'm so proud. I am also very grateful, you've all been so great to me, given me more than I could ever hope to repay in xp or gp. Over the last two years or so I have had some really tough times. Here's a little story, in June of last year (before EoE was made) I was low, about as low as you can get an I couldn't see much in the future. At the time I felt completely alone, had no real life friends and felt detached from my family, so as many others probably have I ran to RS to distract myself, but that can only do so much. I wont bother with names, but some RS friends noticed things were up, they talked to me, tried to cheer me up, though I never felt like I their words meant anything. I remember talking to one, I said if I could have just one friend I might be able to make it, but I never honestly believed that it would happen. However this friend told me to keep going until the summer, saying things would change.

 

I still didn't believe him, I couldn't see a future with or without friends. Then something crazy, insane happened. I had been DGing with people from the HYT friends chat for the last month or two, getting into the swing of things since it was my new favourite distraction, De Elite One (which was also an idea between him and another HYTer) suggested to me that we should form a clan to save spamming up the chat every time we wanted to do a floor. I figured why not, I was already an owner of a clan (just 4 or 5 friends who had mostly quit), we may as well use my clan. In that moment, EoE was born, though it was then known as HYT DGs until we could get a better name(as in dungeons plural, not DGS ;) ). We started very small, I had to c1 my warp because it wasn't even possible to get a duo going. Then EoE started to expand, almost all people from HYT. For fear of forgetting anyone again I wont use names, but you'll know if it was you. :P

 

Now the ball was rolling, I was started to become involved, it was still just casual people to me, but it really was a start. Maybe my friend was right, could the summer really promise more for me? He definitely was right, by the end of July EoE was starting to roll, and I had found not just the one friend I so desired, but dozens of them! I had previously dreaded the summer, wondering if I'd even make it, but somehow these people who I knew by nothing more than screen names and occasional voice calls really made a change in me. This was hardly a quick cure for me, but it was a hell of a start and I'm still amazed at my luck in finding all these amazing people, by this we were expanding to friends of friends and I was actually happy for the first time in a long time.

 

Fast forward to the school year, things are coming together, DG is going strong for everyone, I'm surprised to see that I might even be able to get 120 sometime. Things are going great (minus a few bumps, which are to be expected when 'recovering', and just normal school stress), I do manage to get 120 DG at the start of December, I keep going, christmas rolls past. This is when things are starting to get weird for me again, it's January, almost exam time but I can barely focus in class. I figure it'll pass soon enough, so I truck on and do pass all my exams. Things looking up a bit, feeling alright since the exam stress is off, I spend a lot of time reading, loving my new classes. To break things up, and for your viewing pleasure here's an outfit I had to wear to school for a scavenger hunt. :)

 

 

Then it all comes crashing down in March or late February. I'm not only back to where I was 8 or 9 months ago, I'm even worse. I felt like I really could never pull myself together, that it really was all over me. Thankfully this time I didn't feel like I just had a username spouting generic advice, I had friends closer than I could have ever thought possible. Again, I can never truly repay them for all they did for me, or make up for what I put them through. You're really amazing people and I still can't understand how I got so lucky to find you all. However alone I felt, I never really was alone. I'd be up to 5 am every school day, but there'd still be someone there listening to me ramble, rave, and make absolutely no sense. After nearly two months of struggling with school and myself I manage to pull things together for the end of the school year, thanks to all of you.

 

Now, cue the best summer of my life. This summer was one of massive strides for me, I'm happy than I've been for months and it just never slowed down. I grew a lot, not physically though. I started to take more action, take things on and in the end I came out feeling better and more confident than ever. EoE had it's bumps as well, in my bad days I became very disconnected from the clan and let it slip away from the ideal with which it had been founded on. This is not an excuse, however, and it never will be. This is a good time to remind everyone to not forget that EoE is still a place for everyone to get along. The reason I value everyone having a chance so much is because I know how impossibly important everyone in EoE was to me, and I can't stand sending someone away because they're a noob if they need help, whether it's with DG or not for I wasn't the only one who had a bad moment or two.

 

Hopefully I can wrap this up a bit now since we're more or less up to today. As you can tell last year was less than ideal for me academically, this year can't be that way, I'm planning on going to university and I'm going to have some demanding courses this year. That, and simply the matter of me becoming bored with RS means that I wont be very active any more. I am hoping that this is time for a new generation to come forward and take on the growth of EoE. It is true that a number of the veterans will be far less active or quitting like me, but that doesn't mean that EoE is even close to done for. Remember, it started as five friends teaching each other to DG, today it's far more than that so don't think for a second that it could die if you don't want it to. I am trusting the new generation to do their best to keep the ideals of EoE, I do still want to be a part as much as I can but there will only be a limited amount I can do.

 

I know this is quite a read, but I'd like to get it all out and I want you to all know how much I really appreciate all that you've done for me, that includes people from HYT, EoE members current, former, future or guest and anyone else I've met here. You're all as important as my own family, and I hope I can help you all as much as I can. I feel like I'm forgetting a lot things, hopefully I'll remember them later but for now that's it.

 

 

TL;DR: EoE has far more value to me than DG xp and I wouldn't give you up for anything. <3: Also sorry if I just wasted your time. XD

By far the best group of people I've been involved with in RS (Followed by SnC, ANYONE REMEMBER THAT????). Anyways, EoE has come pretty far, even though I've only been involved with it for like 8-9 months. 3 200m DGs in such a small clan is fairly impressive (With 2-3 on the way).
