Gandorf61
Surprised that no one has ever made a topic about this. I was just curious to see if anyone else listens to podcasts and if so which ones? Since I have about an hour transit commute each way to school I have a lot of time to kill so I listen to a lot of podcasts on entertainment, books, tv shows, etc. Some podcasts I listen to (A lot of them have the same show hosts as I tend to listen to start listening to podcasts with a familiar group of people on them): HYPE (General entertainment news)Game of Owns (Game of Thrones discussions)Hunger Games Chat (Hunger Games discussions)Mugglecast (Harry Potter discussions)Smart Mouths (Show ended, humour, news, fun segments) Anyone else have some good podcasts to share/what are your thoughts on podcasts? Powerfrog
Tipping Forties 4 best friends. I found them doing "let's plays" on SomethingAwful and their website, and then they started doing podcasts so i listen to those while skilling. They mostly talk about beer, movies, video games and top 5 worst things that week, sometimes can get political but always entertaining. Some crude language. Not technically a podcast but it's as close to one as it gets, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington ran a radio show and you can download the whole thing with the music cut out, just them bantering with each other. Some really funny moments but they tend to repeat themselves a bit in the 100+ hours there are. They also have some more recent much more professional podcasts but i think you have to pay for them. Also listened to a few educational/scientific ones but none really shine out. TED is a great place to find these. Edit: Oh wow oh wow oh wow. Tipping Forties is breaking up and deleting everything. Such awful timing for me to recommend them, lol. They deleting everything in "a few months" so probably best not to get into it unless you have the room to download it all and listen in future, assuming it even appeals to you. Azvareth
GiantBomb's are great. I also enjoy 5by5's podcasts, especially the "Back To Work" stuff with Merlin Mann and Dan Benjamin. Also if you're interested in Apple stuff, 5by5's "Hypercritical" podcasts are usually pretty great. Obligatory listen: when Siracusa's giving his thoughts on the Steve Job's biography. It spans two episodes, so it's like four hours in total. The rage is glorious.
stevepole
The only podcast I listen to is The BS Report with Bill Simmons. It's primarily a sports podcast, and occasionally there's some pop culture references. I'd probably listen to more, but I only have time to really listen to one podcast here or there, because they are so long.
Star.
I just listen to RoosterTeeth's podcasts. They are the only team which have the least amount of annoying members. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
Racheya
I've never really listened to podcasts, except one. Vaguely Live Radio, it started about 4 years ago by two youtubers, nerimon and jimmy0010 and after a couple of years they stopped. And now they're back. It's great, I've always loved vlr.
