Been stuck on this boss. Many times while she ws almost dead, she goes into rage mode and i try to run and for some reason i can't and die in one hit even with 5000lp. I'm sure its not lag. Are you supposed to be near the water when she has about 30% health

I've ran in circles lighting fires and using throwing knives, and failed about 5 times. Iss there a better attack? I'll check videos too.

ive also had some trouble with char,although it was before the update that it got recently. i found out that using good range armour and a weapon such as crystal was useful at the time of hitting and having some nice accuracy. have around 7 fires lit and always keep running.if she enters rage mode,even if you have 7k health she might kill you in one blow anyways and teleport you outside of the field.ofc if you have soulsplit its just easier but not eveyone can afford that...

Dual-casting mage with virtus wand+book should be good for it too. Though that's pretty hard on the bank, and DW ahrims might not be enough. Failing that, Dual chaotic crossbows w/royal bolts.

I did this 2 month ago and it took me ages (ended up giving up and finishing it a week after).

Don't use darts/knifes there not good any more.

This is how I did it;

-Use a dual weapon

-Wear nothing at all except your weapons + Spot/Spottier cape and boots of lightness (also use surefooted aura if you have it)

-Full inventory of rocktails + the item that lights the fires

Run around the edges of the arena and light fires as you go, when you have around 7-10 fires lit and shes not in rage mode then attack. Soon as shes switches to rage mode then run around the edges again and re-light.

Also I noticed that my auto attacks were hitting faster than spamming abilities, not sure if its suppose to be like that or not.

Dual wield autoattacks are supposed to be faster than abilities, yes, if you are using fast weapons.

Yeah basically I used melee dual weild, ran her to one end, then I ran to other end, lit a bunch of fires, fight her. lure her back to first end, run back light more fires, rinse repeat. No armour needed. 10+ fires make the fight much easier

I'm not sure if mage armor actually adds to damage in this fight which isn't like normal fights. But i'll try the dual casting and dual wielding since knives mean getting too close to Char, and they aren't that fast.

Managed to get over 20 fires lit and was doing 2000+ damage each hit. Not sure if that's the best way but it seemed to work well for me. Never had any trouble getting away from the rage attack though so can't help you with that. Used void and she would maxaround 3200 damage which was around half my lp.

Honestly I just used an enhanced excaliber and rapier and wore nothing but a spotted cape. I tried the whole range thing and died 4 times before I switched to melee. Probably only maintained an average of 5-6 fires lit the whole time and it was still significantly easier to just melee her.

^I did the quest last night. Just follow what he says. Use dual wield fast hitting weapons and the highest food you can. If need bring a BoB. Don't wear armor but weight reducing clothes help (I did without it). When she rages lure her to the water and she'll cool off. Also watch for the firewall and run to the open spot. It's also possible to just run through them as you may get caught between tick (or something like that) and not receive damage. But I don't recommend it unless Char is near you and you can't get to the open spot on the wall. Better to run far from her and take wall damage while eating/healing.
