So apparently it seems that its an instant mute if you say h/c or anything along the lines of that in chat regardless of whether its from an auto typer or not?

 

May i say, i think this is absolute crap! If people arent using a bloody auto typer they should be aloud to say what they want! Jagex cant detect where it was an auto typer or not so why the f*** did they mute me for the second time this flipping week! SO WHY THE HELL DID THEY MUTE ME UNDER MACRONING AND THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE!?

When I don't appeal mine, the mute lifts in under a day... But the ones I appeal last the full term. Weird. =/.

Well im not too annoyed cause it is only an 24 hour ban as far as i know, but it does still come at an inconvienience, as i was planning to do some events. -.-

Considering upcoming changes to try and stamp out gambling and flower games + the fact nearly all the people spamming about it are auto-talkers I'm not surprised Jagex is letting botwatch be a bit mute happy with them. Certainly helps discourage folks from trying to host in preparation for the removal.

It's a small price to pay if it's out of context imo. I mean, this is assuming that you can appeal the mute (and be successful) if you're just talking about h/c. If not, well.. hello complaints :P.

Yes i have sent an appeal and i'm waiting on it.

Jagex has been cracking down on non-game related spam including gambling spam. It may rustle a few feathers, but I much prefer not having my chat filled with "h/c - 2x" for hours a day.

 

 

From what I have found (being a H/C host gives a little more insight, personally) is that if you type "h/c x2" or something along those lines and don't spam it (spam being anything faster than say 10secs between retyping) you should be totally fine. I personally switched to using the quickchat option "In the open." and was 24-hour-muted within 30 minutes, so I'd stay away from the quickchat option unless you are already muted.

Tested this and it worked. Don't need to talk in game to do a daily dg anyway :P

Same thing with my friend! Except he was getting paid to spam so he kinda had it coming.
