Omar
I would expect a 3D printer to be far more versatile than a hacksaw. Z_Berenice
The Manchin-Toomey amendment failed. (54-46/60)The Grassley-Cruz amendment, introduced hours before the vote failed. (52-48/60)The Leahy amendment failed. (58-42/60)I just watched the "sentimental" broadcast they did live, and I just won a bet on the timing they would be doing this (my take was on mid april). I frequent many online gun-friendly communities, and as much as I love them, it's always the same thing when a shooting happens:1. Sellers panic and start the "muh guns, they gunna take muh guns" campaign2. Hoarders panic and begin mass buying3. Price of guns rise like hell in the U.S.4. Several bills, laws, etc. are proposed5. Sellers reinforce their campagin with perfect timing compared to proposed bills, laws, etc.6. Prices rise even more, people start massively hoarding ammo7. Insert 2-3 months of the same thing gradually going down8. The goverment broadcasts some sort of emotional defeat speech, etc...9. Prices go back to normal, and those who proposed bills, laws, etc. / the victims / anyone who was against guns is nowhere to be seen.

During the shortage I was buying ammo here for some friends over the states as it even turned way cheaper with shipping costs. But they've been telling me for the last 2-3 days that they'll start buying back with their local stores since they are starting to show up again and the price is at least acceptable. But then again, 9mm... lol. Just messing, altho all of my pistols are .45, I know it must be frustating since 9mm is quite popular, specially in the states. jasignhagj
I'm surprised background checks failed, it seemed like a fair compromise that might actually do something, and with the clause that allowed you to sell to family and friends, it didn't really infringe on any rights. jasignhagj
While it might make selling a bit more inconvenient, there is nothing stopping a felon or a mentally unstable person from responding to your ad and acquiring a firearm they should not be able to have. It may still have holes, but it allows legal action to be taken against those who illegally resell firearms to criminals.

Ginger_Warrior
The failure of the proposed legislation in passing the Senate serves to underline just how divided the US is on gun control overall. It's one thing having an equal share of opinions either side, but the aggression and conviction that politicians and lay people use is intense. In almost every other political issue, people gravitate towards the "middle ground"... gun control is one of very few issues where opinion moves towards the extreme poles. There's very little room for compromise when both side's definition of compromise is "You don't understand what I'm trying to say, just accept what I say is true and don't argue." | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
