Primal Hunting... Something Seriously F'd

I'll try to make this to the point since I intend to post and read responses tomorrow.

I've spent more than 5 hours on and off with different people and solo trying to find a Primal Maul in Dungeoneering. I still have not found one.

I've tried F18-19 - leaving after 19 - C6 small, medium, solo, 2 and even 3 people all 200 combat. They were NEVER this rare before. I remember getting so many Primal Mauls back in the day when I couldn't give a shit less about them.

Now that I actually want one the game has seen it fit to put me through some sort of excruciating trial of Stomp-Rift-Stomp-Rift-Rammer - oh wait Katagon, oh wait Gorgonite, oh wait Argonite. I/We've barely even seen T11 drops period.

What the hell gives?

Also if no one has an answer for me, I'll be looking for several max combat players to do some med or even large F18+19 with just to finally get it...

T11 drops seem to depend on the number of people you have with you, so 5:5 smalls, at any complexity, should give you a high chance of getting a primal maul.

As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero.

Ensure you are not a social situation.

It's just outright lucky of the draw really, but yeah the number of people who CAN use the item (or close to it) seems to impact on drop rates so non-99 str and att folks would drag down maul drop chance I believe

Iirc it mainly depends on the level of the boss, which again depends mostly on the difficulty of the floor: 5:5, c6, large, based on max combat. However large tends to be too slow to get many chances at the boss, so 5:5 small is preferred.

Do a C6 small with guide mode on, this way you can avoid all bonus paths and rush boss each floor. The more people with you, the more common it'll be.

speaking personally, me and a friend hunted for primal mauls for quite a long time, i got one after about 50, my friend got his at about 70 i think. It was a pain in the rump. I have had the best luck doing solo c6s to be honest, although i doubt that will hold true for most. level doesn't seem to matter much, i got mine from a level 68 guy and my friends was the same if i recall.

Good luck
