February 19, 200620 yr content I)how dragons work II)what to feed dragons III)how to find and kill dragons IV)How to deal with pet dragons warning, do not take the science or any part of the guide seriously, a few of the ideas are recycled from terry pratchet. I) Their is actually a science to how dragons work, many people say that the dragons rely on magic, but this is not Necersarily true. The way dragons breath fire is very simple, they eat, for example iron and it reacts with the acid in the stomach of the dragon to produce hydrogen, the hydrogen then enables them to fly, and when they need to decend they burn off the hydrogen. the chemical reaction for this would be: Fe+HCl -------> FeCl+H Hydrochloric acid + Iron -------> Hydrogen + Iron Chloride This also conviniently explains why dragons are agressive, its because they want the metal that they are carrying, and the only way to do that is by killing them. February 19, 200620 yr How to feed dragons Dragons will normally feed themselves, If you happen to have a pet dragon it's best to refer to the post further down. They feed on iron and other metals as well as limestone for some calcium and gems to help break it down. As the previous post showed this is how the dragon's get that firey breath. Their iron supply is from passers by although bronze and steel will also do. Charcoal biscuits help to increase the intensity of their fire breath and you could even use wow-Wow sauce (terry pratchet-nanny oggs cook book) So that's how to feed them, next, how to find and kill them
February 19, 200620 yr Author III)how to find and kill dragons Dragons reactions inside their stomachs can make them very unstable, dragons very frequently explode because their are either: a)angry b)scared or c)just plain bored This can provide many interesting and above all downright stupid ways of killing dragons. but before you can kill the dragons you have to have both protection from them and a way of finding them. terry pratchets C.M.OT dibbler has kindly sold us a few hundred of his product for us so that we may pass them on to you. we have: Dragon detector: this is basically a long tick of wood, when the end of the wood is burned, you've found your dragon. Anti-dragonfire cream: guarenteed 100% sucess rate, if it doesn't work then you will recieve a full refund!(upon personal application). now, back to killing dragons, as i said, dragons freaquently explode, so one of the most effective (yet downright stupid) ways of killing them is too sneak up behind them with a blown up crisp packet and pop it. Other ways too kill dragons include: taking their picture and drawing funny mostaches over it with a black marker pen, then showing to them. or showing them the video clips from yopur last holiday. February 19, 200620 yr How to deal with pet dragons Dealing with pet dragons costs many lives across the year, mainly due to people getting the wrong one and blowing themselves to bits, or because they had a few too many babecues. Dragons Prefer to sleep in deep dank dungeons where they don't get disturbed although many other places include bedrooms, as far away as possible or in your neighbours garden. Giving pet dragons bottle milk is a good idea, it will keep them strong and ready for battle and will make their scales shiny. If ever you need to punish them all you need to do is whack them on the nose with a steady "NO" Thank You Lemonfish p.s if this is in the wrong section please move it

If they eat iron from armour the can get metals which give off hydrogen to let them breath fire. although this increases the chances of them exploding it does work
February 19, 200620 yr Author my how to kill dragons and where to find them section is up! I'm not drunk! You wouldn't dare call me drunk if i was sober!

The fact its going to take place in an animals stomach is another thing.
February 19, 200620 yr BTW plagurism isnt allowed on tip.it boards, change the title to "terry pratchets guide to dragons" or something.
February 19, 200620 yr Author i havn't actually taken anything out of his books, just recycled a few of his ideas. and im not gunna argue about chemisty on a sunday I'm not drunk! You wouldn't dare call me drunk if i was sober!
February 19, 200620 yr The chemistry is fine, the biology is another thing, it's great that you like Terry Pratchet, but you must realise most of what is he writes is simple satire and not to be taken seriously.. but then again all to their own.

I know, i didn't actually expect anyone to take any part of this particually seriously, as for the chemistry, well to be honest thats just a random thing i remembered about how to get hydrogen out of metals- i thought it might provide people with a little entertainment I'm not drunk! February 19, 200620 yr It's like saying you can walk through walls, you just have to move the nuclei and electrons to the side, and walk throught the 99% emptines, lol, i mean i really don't see a point in this topic. Perhaps if it was a guide on RS dragons sure, but other than that... 18/22 skills at or better than 60.1300+ skill total.Barrows:Torag's Helm x2, Guthan's Helm, Guthan's Warspear, Dharok's Greataxe, died to dharok, Guthan's Platebody, Ahrim's Hood. All in a total of 104 runs.
February 19, 200620 yr A very excellent guide, I was thinking of writing up one on bloodvelds, maybe another day :D i mean i really don't see a point in this topic. Perhaps if it was a guide on RS dragons sure, but other than that...Yes, just because a guide doesn't follow a silly game 100% makes it pointless  :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Although I do like the new ones.Like a ninja, here I was, gone I am now.BUT! I may be back! Add my new account, Dr Bloodveld!

February 19, 200620 yr Nah, you get Pure Rune + Sulfer, Which when using single displacement, you get RuneSulfite, Which is a chared black color and has the smell of rotting flesh+nasty farts.
February 19, 200620 yr wow thanks guys for the headache I got from chemistry. Anyways thank you for the sweet little guide you gave us here. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.
February 19, 200620 yr there is a chemical found in certain rocks that ignites when it comes into contact with the air, wouldn't that work a lot better for flamethrowing?
February 19, 200620 yr there is a chemical found in certain rocks that ignites when it comes into contact with the air, wouldn't that work a lot better for flamethrowing?*takes deep breath and EXPLODES* :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3!
