i've just got to level 70 range, i had a dragon 2h X bow i was using with rune darts, but my clan keep telling me to go with the dark bow - dragon arrows. 

 

i'm a little torn...

 

firstly, I don't understand how a 100k Bow, is better than a 9mil X bow. 

and also, i just bought and tested the dark bow, i only spent 5mins and wasn't very happy. 

 

Am i missing something with this Dark Bow?

the reason that the dragon xbow is 9m is because people use the dragon limbs to make a lvl 90 ranged waepon

Cost has absolutely NOTHING to do with performance of weapons. All weapons damage is based off of it's level. The higher leveled weapon is nearly always a better option, purely based on damage. Assuming you are using abilities, the speed of the weapon has nearly no matter either, making the dark bow a better option, hands down.

 

Bingo on why the dragon x-bow is so expensive.

Black salamander, crystal bow and Karil's crossbow are better than any of the options you've listed.

And the hand cannon is even better...

Dragon 2h crossbow is 9m ONLY because the limbs used to make it are used to make the 1h xbow, and the 1h xbow is used to make an ascension bow.

 

 

d2h bow is a lvl 60 2h range weapon

 

Dark bow is a lvl 70 2h range shield weapon.

 

Karils bow, and black salamander are 2h range weapons. Both those are better than dark bow for doing damage.

 

 

The best thing you can do would be to buy a salamander and use that

I would also definitely recommend doing a small amount of questing to unlock crystal bow, or possible getting 80 range and get a royal crossbow, whatever you seem to prefer!

If you get the crystal bow, it can be upgraded to the attuned crystal bow and that has the same stats of the zaryte bow, with the exception of the prayer bonus.
