March 11, 200620 yr A nice relaxing bath always helps me, just have a soak for 30 mins with your radio or something. Or, stand outside with just your undies on and when you get cold jump into bed, the warmth should counter the cold and put you out :o.
March 11, 200620 yr Persistance always works for me -- I just lie there until I damn well fall asleep. Sometimes it takes a while, but it's always quicker for me to stay still and think of something nice than it is for me to get up and try and tire myself out somehow. deviantart account
March 11, 200620 yr Reverse psychology works for me: "Just stay awake; don't fall asleep, don't fall asleep..." *Zzzz*
March 11, 200620 yr I like classical music, it relaxes the soul.....OMG i love classical. Reading is good to sleep, it makes me tired. I have been awake for over 40 hours due to my brother that snores loudly until he stopped after i kept hitting him if he did.... Try doing activites in the day. On the weekends i stay up more because of all the activites......well, im out of ideas and if you dream of yourself "using" the toilet, you probably have wet the bed.......I still remember the time i did years ago. :oops:indeed!!! classical music is an awesome way IMO to go to sleep. if i may suggest, play Pachelbel's canon over and over again. its my favorite song, and is incredibly relaxing. make sure to leave the volume on a comfortable level-one that you can hear, but not one that makes you continuosly think about what is playing for relaxing music (classical of course!), I'd suggest:Pachelbel Canon, Bolero by Ravel, THe Four Seasons by Vivaldi, The New World Symphony (No. 9) Movement 2 *only* by Dvorak, and The Water Music Suite by Handel on top of that, ill reiterate some things that other people have said. .relaxing position .milk .bath .constant bedtime schedule .no big meals, but small snacks work .NO CAFFEINE OR COMPUTER also, do try to wear yourself out before you go to sleep, or at least dont do anything that stimulates your thoughts right before bed. i cant tell you how bad it is to be thinking constantly about something before you go to sleep...i usually go to bed at 10 and fall asleep at most at 10:15. when im thinking, you can kiss falling asleep till its the next day... hope i was of some help to you  R.I.P. March 11, 200620 yr First, I just watched Private Ryan last night, and on there they said that the easiest way to fall asleep is to try and stay awake. My way:Count backwords from 100 and relax yourself. Try to be asleep by the time you get to 0.

March 12, 200620 yr Stay on the computer for the WHOLE day. At the end of the day until around 12. Your eyes will be dieing for some rest. Also, after that you cna sleep threw anything but annoying music.
March 12, 200620 yr Read a book, that usally gets my eye's tried. I take a shower before I go to bed, the warm water relaxes my musles and them when I go to my room, the cooler air makes me chilly and I snooze in my bed to keep warm. Ya, that.....usally...works..f-for..meee...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ  "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
March 12, 200620 yr Reverse psychology works for me: "Just stay awake; don't fall asleep, don't fall asleep..." *Zzzz* Reminds me of the IT crowd... "I'm going to ask myself a very personal question... *stress meter goes up* I'm not really going to... haahaa *stress meter goes down*"
March 12, 200620 yr This is what I do: 1. View these forums in dark lighting conditions on high monitor brightness. 2. When Eyes start to ache, get into bed and close eyes. Gets me asleep....within...minutes.....zzzzz..... (It helps if nobody posts an interesting thread. Rants board recommended as excessive flaming can make you tired.)
