hazardmaster
1. Merchanting 2. Rune mining 3. Essence 4. Cow hides 5. Iron 6. Coal 7. Yews What do you think? By the way, I am pretty sure many people may disagree with me about essence being ahead of yews and coal. It may not be ahead of coal, but there is alot of competition with coal and essence does't need respawning. I ranked essence before yews because a full yew load is about 4.5k I believe. 1 full essence load is a few hundred gp, at least 700. A full load of yew logs may take 15 minutes at 70 or so woodcutting, whereas a full essence load may take 2 minutes. When cut/mined in mass amounts the difference can be seen. Stallion4589
ive started merchanting steel bars, and im making a nice profit. even if you buy the coal for 200 each (noone seems to wanna sell for any less) and the iron for 100 each (grand total of 500 per bar), you can still make 100 profit selling at 600 each. heres a tip: use the tip.it market forums. they help alot. kruimel0
i think merch is the best, but i do yews, because of my high woodcutting lvl :P Give a man a fish, and he'll choke on the bones. Result: You get the rest of the fish. Teach a man to fish, and he'll catch a lot of fish, then choke on one of the bones. Result: You get all the fish he caught. Teaching people is better. Ammarid
The absolute best way to make money on f2p or p2p is the way that you enjoy most. true, it's still a hard way to earn money on an honestway. now i'm earning quiet good my money because of my high lvls it's a long way but i prefer not to specialise in one skill. why ? it becomes boring :) my skills are well balanced and i can earn good money with each of my skills i can mine, smith, fish, woodcut, runecraft and craft whenever i want without worying if it would bring some money in. ;) WORK is the only option to become rich Unification Wars, a Massive online game where you can guide your own Star fleet ! blakdragon39
I would have to say mining coal... with a high enough mining level, you can get into the guild, and it's pretty easy to go from there. I've tried merchanting, but never really found a good way to do this yet :P After you said mining ess is better than cutting yews, (which I happen to be doing right now... even though I hate it... [long story]) I might consider starting to mine it sometime :) If I can figure out the average time for a trip of yews that should be easy... statgod2
1. merchanting is definately first(rares being the most profitable) 2. rune mining probably 2nd 3. Runecrafting (airs) probably 3rd if you have 55(5 times ess) or 66 rc(6 times ess) 4. yews are definately ahead of coal... 5. essence can be good i guess, but its more of a newb thing to do. 6. crafting is also very profitable at 70 7. smithing can be good if you have 98+(lol) cooking lobs used to be profitable before "cook all" damn you jagex. Unforgivablesin
I made the most money merchanting mass items for good smithers and fighters. Rune mining would be better in some situations but who with that mining level is asking for money?

soda711
I like wc, and thats also he best way to earn money on f2p. 8) he is definitly right. cutting yews may be boring for a month, but when u get to lvl 75 and up, u can get like 300 yews per day. lets assume you play runescape 20 out of 30 days a month, 300 * 20 = 6000......thats 6k of yews. assume they sell for 300 each, 6,000 * 300 = 1,800,000.... wow 1.8 mil a month thats pretty good 8)
mario_sunny
I have a better way, all you have to do is complete "rune mysteries" quest and have an air tali/tiara. 1) Go to world 16 air altar, go inside. 2) Yell "need starter ess!". Eventually a person will trade you and give you 25 noted rune ess. 3) Now walk/run to fallador east bank, and turn the 25 noted ess into 25 unnoted ess. 4) Bring the unnoted ess back to the altar. 5) Now you have two choices here: You may either choose to trade the people wearing black robes, who will give you 2k cash and 25 unnoted ess; or you can trade the people dressed in blue robes to get 100 air runes and 25 unnoted ess. Either way, you will end up with 25 unnoted ess. 6) Repeat steps 3-5 as many times as you want  This company offers 24/7 service, but I suggest you do it in the daytime, when there's usually about 20-35 people there. Now of course, the people with over 400K(like me) should not be doing this. This company meerly offers good starting money for beginners, and a fairly decent amount. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( . XrunesX
I find that whenever i go to world 1 varrock bank its just full of merchants..The profits that ar emade on f2p merchanting are not near as big as what can be made on p2p. Thats just my opinion. I think yews are great on f2p. 99 Runecraft - 99 Fletching - 99 All Melee's 1800+ Total
Lim_Dul
I've mined over 100 rune ore in a day on numerous occassions. Selling those for 12k each that's 1.2m in a day. If you buy coal and natures and smelt rune bars you can gain some additional mage and smith xp and get 14k a piece. I'm currently extremely broke, so I've decided next month I'm going to do a rune mineathon with the goal of 100m gp. Wish me luck :D
