Of course after I made my post about not getting any whips I logged back in and in about an hour I got a whip.....and about 5 drops later I got another one :D Lets just say I didn't want to log or leave but thought I should just in case something went wrong and I died. Not sure if the log theory is correct because before that I was getting all herbs. I think it is just the law of averages, eventually things will even out. I had killed many without getting anything then got two close together, so it ended up being about 1 per 300 or so.

but if drops were random i would have the same chance of getting a drag half shield as getting coins. there are CHANCES behind the drops. explain why i don't get 20 half shields in a trip if i'm wrong.

You are wrong. Drops are indeed random, but their probability is different. The probability of getting coins is waay bigger then the probability of getting a dragon half shield. But i guess you already knew that...

its not random, and i know ive had this discussion before, but something computerized cannot be random uless they got a geigercounter next to a chunk of uranium....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

why? cuz its computerized, it may be a very obscure pattern spread out so far that you cannot gather enough data to actually decypher the pattern, but its still a pattern...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

its programmed so true randomness is impossible, you can only fake it really really well

 

Funny thing is ever since the treasure trail update I've been actually recieving better drops from monsters but still no luck at barrows.

OK, first I complained about the Rangers "WALK OF DOOM" now this. At least one was found to be real 8)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Over the last week or so my Slayer Monster drops seem to be a long laundry list of runes/coins/ and the occasional seed. Not that I don't get a very rare nice drop, but I find myself:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Not using most of the alching nats I brought with me for the assignment

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Not having to make that second trip back because I was loaded with great stuff. I men, really, I'm keeping thread for Guthix sake :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't pin it down exactly, because I do get an occasional "mith shield" or "addy boots", but it just seems MUCH less

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh, and yes I brought my Ring of Wealth, smartypants flamers :wink:

Here is a tip from someone who is 90 slayer. DO NOT use ring of wealth. Believe me, i used it for about 3 months camping at abyssal demons. The next two months i decided to use a berserker ring instead and I got better drops. The ring of wealth seems to cause you to get more Dragon drops, and herbs. When i was using the ring I was getting herbs every 3 kills or so, after taking it off I get herbs every 7 or so. There was definitly a significant change in the droprate of those. This means that I got more of the common drops such as coins, runes, and whips. This also seems to hold true for other things.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My suggestion, toss the ring of wealth and use a berserker or worrier ring (depending on your budget). Unless you want herbs. If you want herbs just keep doing what your doing and youll be fine.

There seems to be less randomness if you ask me... They are dropping things although it does seem less frequent compared to the numbers killed lately.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two specter assignments (400 total) -- 2 lava staves and 3 rune fulls - no mystic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Infernal mage assignment (136 total) -- two mystic boots and hat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Back demons (199 total) -- always bad droppers one rune chain

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bloodvelds (184 total) -- one pair black boots.
