Alright, so this is what I have so far:

(The dots are where the lights are going to go)

And I'm trying to make it look like this:

But I need help making the rays of light. I can't just make a solid dark background, because then the shirts won't show up. So i was wondering if any good pixelers could give me some suggestions on how to make the rays. All help is appreciated, thanks.

Oh yeah, also give comments about the linework so far and post anything you think I should change.

edit: I tried to do it, and it didn't come out too good... :(

terley has done something similar in the dharok sig

i have wanted to ask him how he did that

i have noticed almost all his sigs have that lighting effect or a "dust" in the air

here are some made by him

look at the difference in both the pics for each sig

The floor you could do as black. The shirts should be a dark purple (generaly people use a very dark purple, instead of pure black, for darkness. Those shirts seem to match it well. perhaps have some blue to it though.)

As you can see the lighting is coming from everywhere, however you have the advantage of already seeing where the shadows and highlights will be cast. What I would do is simply get a roiugh color of everything, and then get the lights , than finaly work on the highlights / ect.

as far as the ray's go, most of them are nice 'n blue. I'd sugest doing a nice light blue for the start of it, and shade as needed. (the two middle ones you could do dithering almost tooo for the entire light, "might" work if you do a right style for it, you'd still see behind it a bit)

hope this helps.

Lol, oh yeah and btw, if you don't know what the sig is of, it is of Blue Man Group. The best show/music group around.
Saw em in Vegas last year. AMAZING! :D

I think yours is great, if you REALLY want to change it instead of cutting off the colour changes in the light with a straight line, try bending it either into the source or towards the ending to see what kind of effect it makes! But make the blue guys a lighter blue :D .

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(
