March 7, 200620 yr Since a lot of the greatest rock artists/bands came from the UK and so on, what do you think is the greatest AMERICAN rock band/arist? My favorites are the Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan, Lyrnryd Skynryd, Van Halen, Grand Funk Railroad, Aerosmith and if metal counts, Metallica. also Jimi Hendrix if he counts, he was American, but his band started over theerrr in Britain.
March 7, 200620 yr The Eagles are def the best. Other decent ones: Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, KISS is actually alright, Lynyrd Skynyrd...Come to think of it almost every single band/artist who is good is from UK. It's almost scary.

March 8, 200620 yr If we count metal also, then (old) Metallica and Deicide. Kult ov Azazel and Megadeth are also ok, but not a huge fan of theirs. For some reason yankee music doesn't "hit" me.
