I agree with what your doing, I paid about four million for my whip way back, it's was well worth it, it would definatly have been worth it for 5.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think it's such a shame that the price has dropped so much, it's a real shame to all those people that raised slayer, I think they need to introduce a decent item worth a fair amount that's only dropped by something like dark beasts.

Death talismans are tradable, but they sure dont go for much for a level 90 slayer monster.... :?

I think another reason whips dropped ( the amt of 85 slayers being the obvious one) Is the release of guthans armour. When I first got 85 slayer you had to either A) take food or B) Prayer pots. This cost more money. Sorry jak but no one is forcing you to spend that much money maging abbies. It really doesnt cost that much to hang up there all day with guthans.

I'd sell mine now, because there's a lot of people getting to lvl 85 slayer and eventualy the prices are going to drop a lot, like hte boater, the first day I knew someone who sold it for like 800k and then the prices went down to 300k like the next day, so if it was me I'd sell now, you'll probaly get more money doing that.

if they dropped, oh lets say, 1-200 guaranteed would you still feel that they are worth 5mil? obviously the introduction rate into the market would cause them to crash...but i mean, would you just be like i get them sooo ofte, that its not a big deal to sell that cheaply any way.

its actaully quite simple. Supply goes up, demand goes down. Prices drop. Its as simple as that. There is nothing that can stop it.

If there weren't so many whips out there already yes. RS is flooded with them, like someone said the 85 slayers dont control the flow of whips anymore.

wear guth skirt and ahrims (drag chain and ahrims works too and is less repairing) and switch to guthans when you need to heal.

lok, just admit that THE PRICE IS GOING TO DROP! no matter what, since their is an unlimited supply of whips, eventuall;y, there is going to be more whips than you can sell, no matter what, look at d longs,

Strange... I am still getting whips about every 300 kills. I never heard of them being as common as a rune med from a lesser ( 1/100?...) Of course, I agree with the fact that they should sell for 5m... abbys aren't worth it anymore.

I don't know for certain but I can say for myself and many other Slayers that the Abyssal Demon, which I kill 600-800 of each day on assignment, are no longer dropping the Abyssal Whip with the frequency they have in the past.

 

 

 

When I first got 85 slayer they dropped them as commonly as a Rune Medium Helmet from a Lesser Demon.

 

 

 

Now they will drop, if you are lucky, 1 out of ever 1000 Abyssal Demon's killed.

 

 

 

The effort, time, and expense required to get one are now much higher than they were in the past, becaseu of this its value should rise.

 

 

 

I am now refusing to sell my whips for less than 5 Million GP. I would rather let them rot in my bank then to allow an unskilled market watcher the ability to get one.

 

 

 

Those of you who get one, take a look back and see how hard it was to procure. Dont sell it. If we all do this the price will rise to what it is actually worth.

It looks like your post's starting to have an effect. The whip price have not dropped for the past month, even creeped slightly upward ~ 3.1m.
