Let's form an 85 slayer union... everyone who joins agrees not to sell whips for less than a certain price that we set. :)

I hope they go up, i bought my first whip for 4.5M at lvl 89 combat, now all these lvl 80 and unders have whips, makes me so mad, and the can't hit crap with them :roll:

vast majority of the demon slayers don't waste time with food they use guthan...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My bro is 85 slayer and he said he hasn't had a whip in some time... He stopped slaying em for now to train skills.

I regret selling 1 for 2.9 mill yesterday now that I know it was not an isolated icendent to get 1 in 5 assignments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

hehe. Its still an isolated incident. There are a couple slayers here talking about a cold streak. Most probably, thats all it is... a cold streak.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Half of the other hundreds of 85 slayers are probably having hot streaks. And the other half are having cold streaks. And some number in between are getting the correct odds. Its all about statistics, and the total population of 85 slayers will all work out in the wash.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unless its actually true, and they made the whip drop rarer, the price will continue to drop, because there are enough slayers to even out the odds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If it IS true, and its NOT an isolated incident, the market will reflect this, because the other slayers will have the same increased odds, and also will be having a tough time getting the drops, and prices will start to climb.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The market does not lie! Hehe. It cannot be manipulated by one person. It cannot be controlled by a small group. Runescape economy will tell us soon enough.

Anyhoo, I noticed this a short while ago, and I'm greatly dissapointed. Even though I'm not a high enough level for a whip, I feel your pain. It seems like a lot of work, not only killing the darned things but getting that slayer in the first place. Even if you don't waste 5m each whip, the amount of work it requires to keep yourself motivated even though you haven't gotten a drop in 600+ kills is astounding.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm sure you'll find some 5m buyers. Just keep looking man. :wink:

Take dragon shield for example, "rare" item but more in supply than there is in demand for it. Hence the drop from 8M (as far as i remember) to 3M today.

its supply and demand, and the demand for whips is low while the supply is high. if he wants money from drops get a friend and a set of veracs from all the whips hes getting and kill kqs for chains. you can get one a week with the worst luck in the game. if you want to train and make money, kill green drags. 1k green drags is 4 mill and they're a hell of a lot easier to kill than abbys.

Maybe this could be a rant or maybe it could be telling of a serious issue of drop manipulation on Jagex' end.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll continue to kill them as assigned as I near my goal of 99 Slayer.

 

 

 

To those of you common 85 slayers living at the Abyssal demons or those that plan to get 85 and then live there if the drop rate remains the way it has been currently, you will be severly disapointed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Abyssal demons are not worth killing if you are their soley for the whip.

 

 

 

I would like anyone who camps there and has not noticed a signifigant decline in whip drops to post here and tell us how many they have gotten recently. Failing in that I will continue to believe that Jagex has decreased their drops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jagex appears to have done drop manipulation. Believing this to be the case I will no longer sell the whips I receive until the price rebounds. Thats my opinion and something others should consider.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those of you not 85 slayer really have nothing to add to this thread other than jealousy or want of a cheaper whip. I'm interested to hear results of other slayers.

Jagex are just too lazy to change their codes to make the whips rarer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But i noticed something. I get way more loot from the chest when there is less people online... maybe it's just luck ..but when there is like 80000- peoples online i can get 6-7 barrows item a day and when everybody get home i get like 2-3 items.

whip had started at 26M+ when it came out, and stayed at 12m+ for how many months? and then stayed at 10m, 9m, 8 and etc VERY SLOWLY did it decrease, and your gonna sit and cry because you cant get 5m for your whip, and now you want to try to get others to stop selling?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

sir you are a loser, how much have you made off 85 slayer already, the first people made 1000's of mils when whips were dropping like "rune meds from lessers" at 25m a pop for a week, u can make 200m in a week if they dropped like that, so sir, please, stop begging for a few more gp and go back to lvling something, why even stay at slayer, u have gp, move on and do something else, lvl something else, dont sit and CRY ABOUT LOSING A COUPLE MILS BECAUSE your greedy....

I have great respect for Axeman. If you actually read the thread you would know he is not complaining because of prices all together. There is a mixture of lower drop rates apparently (using his info), along with even lower whip prices. And if you read some of the other posts this shouldn't be happening. When supply decreases there should be some sort of level off and even a small rise. At this time it hasn't happened yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have no clue if there has actually been a drop decrease or not. Only Jagex knows that at the moment.
