matthewmjw
My idea would be that every one or two hours a giant monster heads to a city. The monster would have to be a high lvl and could kill any npc eccept bankers. On the way to the city there would be a camp that it will have to get through and when it gets there there would be a warning in the vicinety that (--------) monster is coming towards the city. When it has killed the camp and its inhappitents there would be a warning saying (---------) monster has broken through (insert name of camp here) and is heading towards the city. When its heading to the city players could attack it and when it gets to the city all the guards will try to fight it. Its level would have to be failry high some where above 350 and would maybe drop a new weapon or armor type. Or instead of one big monster it could be about 50 lvl 70 montsers or something like that. Please no flaming or spamming. And ideas for improvement is always welcome!
Giordano
Is this monster agressive? Because all the innocent newbies or low levels will die. Bronzey
That actually sounds awesome. Kinda like a Runescape-wide (or city-wide) random event where all the players need to work together to survive, not just a team of ten or so but everyone in the vicinity. And then there'd be NPCs running around saying "FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY TAKE COVER IN THE BANK" or something. Whatever the above post said. It'd be great for the community... Lets_3ekout
It'd be great for the community... yea i can see it so clearly... "hey, did you know that monster can't kill you and you one hit it for a blue phat?" it would be like the vines, it would kill too many people. no... just no. headshot119
I think it would be cool. You should be able to operate the cannons in varrock at lvl 20 range if this got a go ahead. Now wheres my mith   Even more hard enemies? Click here to support new metal dragons!
peter_selie
It would be fun, but maybe more enjoyable as a mini-game.
Striker6
nah mini games are boring. What about a world, entirely wilderness? You had to recruit into a city, become a knight of falador or whatever and fight the varrock knights and the barbarians, alliances could be made with different city's. Certain requirements for each city, e.g like 50 strngth to become a knight of ardougne or whatever...you get the idea
aoe325
Ur idea is not that dumb it could make a nice Minigame CastleWar Players Vs NPC Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
Birdboy60
This defineately would make a perfect mini-game for group play. But a random? NO, not a random. This WOULD be an equivalent of the vines (too many deathes of too many newbs) if made a random. But I could see this as a potential mini-game. Each world would have a spot in a certian city (like Ardougne) that teleports you to the lounge which would be like the Castle Wars lounge. It could be named something like "Guardian's Keep" or something kinda cool sounding. Basically, the players get 1 chance to kill it. If it kills you, you are out (kinda like in the Tzaar mini-games) and have to wait. When you enter the portal or are killed, you are teleported to a Lounge area with a bank chest, small shops (like food, range, magic and rewards) and the portal to the waiting zone. You could either use the portal or walk to this place, kinda like with Castle Wars and the Games Necklace. Once you enter the waiting zone, you will be entered into the Keep when the last game is finished. If you are in the game when the monster dies, you get Keep Tokens, which can be traded for stuff like with the Castle Wars tickets. The Tokens can be spent towards armor, weapons, and a new hat and cape. The moster would be high leveled, would have strong melee attacks, and would frequently cast magic spells and launch range attacks towards random players. This would help prevent people from just standing in a melee protected spot to wait out the battle. The monster would be impossible to kill alone, and you must survive the battle to gain Tokens. The new items could be: Demon Mask: looks slightly similar to a Halloween mask, just with bigger horns and only black colored skin Guardian Cape: golden base with a red stripe at bottom with a symbol in the center Demon Skin Armor: black colored leather-like body, cowl, legs, and vambraces with a red trim and small symbol on body (also there is a studded version for more Tokens) Demon Scale Amor: black platebody, plate legs, shield and helmet with a red trim and a symbol on the body Demonic Robes: Red robes with a black trim and the body looks slightly similar to the mystic body, with a red wizard hat Demonic Staff: Red staff with a black orb on top Demonic Bow: Red bow with black on the ends Demonic Sword: Silverlite with a red blade and black handle These items are ideas... but the game would be cool as a Team VS NPC minigame. matthewmjw
Well i came up with the idea while playing WoW and well its the noobs fault that they didnt listen to the warnings and run away from it. its not like vines because you can run from it and not die and its not really a random because it would come every 2 hours or so. there would be new high lvl npc guards that are only aggresive to this new monster and it would drop like a new rare weapon like a sword made of flame, a bow made of dragon bones, or a staff made of flaming demon bones and the random part would be there would be three different types of monsters there would be a mage, a warrior, and a range. also think ti would remove a lot of noobieness from the game becausae people would have to work together to defend themselves. bluebell1
nice idea but the monster should appear at a city and the gates will close and the monster appears trying to break down the gate. an 7 head creature with range and magic attacks will shoot of rounds at the people. It may also be acompanyed by some weaker monsters like goblins or skeletons to damage the high lvl players and weak players. it would have to go away aftera few minutes. JelleK
It would be nice if a monster entered varrock when you are yust shopping. An auto tele for the lvl 20 and lower to the castle or another safe spot. the lvl 21 and higher attempt 2 fight the monster. (but if Jagex staff reads this... could you make it f2p pls?)
