When we got to a nice deserted area he told me he could turn addy armour into rune and that I should bring him all my addy armour. Time to play scam the scammer. I told him to wait, and went back to the bank and grabbed my rune, then went back to the scammer and told him that I didn't need him to do it for me because someone else already showed me. Well, that got him interested (curiously he was trying to scam me into believing that you could turn addy into rune, yet believed me when I said someone already showed me how to do it.) "Tell me how" he demanded. "You said you already knew" I responded. So he said "Well there are lots of ways you can do it." After a bit of bickering I eventually told him that you need Zamorak Wine. I said "I will be ur gf" after some lvl 3 asked me to be his gf.. then HE went to varrock castle to do a "trust test" he wanted me to give him my Full zammy.. And I said do u really trust me? he said yes and gave me his 1mil "surprised at that" and he said give it back... and u know what happens next i avoid him blah blah blah Yes, I admit to scamming But I dont really think scamming the scammer is wrong, just a backfire. misssmish Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 i am proud to say that i have never scammed anyone...but i have been scammed numerous times for example: some noob offered me 1000k for my full rune. there i am all like "i can buy like 2 or three full sets with that." so i trade the dude and wen i click accept and the trade happens, i realize that i ended up only getting 1k, which really sucked major butt another time was wen i was a semi-new player and i was just starting to make a profit and get some good items. well this guy said "follow me for 1 mil" so naturally i followed, hoping to get 1 mil. well it turned out to be one of those trust things, where they take the best item and then log out. another time was when (now this one is really bad, and i feel really stupid saying it but here goes) one of those "whoever has the best item wins" scams. some noob was all like "follow me for free full rune." (this was wen i was poor an needed money fast and was gonna sell it cause i already had full rune) i followed and she showed everybody her full rune and then told everyone that whoever traded her the best item got the full rune. they were all like, i need friends and stuff like that and were all like, "friends trust eachother. do u trust me? if u do trade me ur best item u have." naturally everybody there is competing to win the full rune. not thinking, i ran back to the bank, grabbed all my runes, all my staffs, all my arrows and my bow, and like a bunch of other stuff i had spent like a ton of money and time on, and not thinking at all traded her and as all scammers do wen they find sumthing good, logged out. i almost quit runescape after that. but then i realized this is only a game and it is not going to affect my life, so y should i care if i just lost everything i owned practically. **just a note to all you scammers out there:it is really stupid to scam someone, not matter how stupid or gullible they are (like me) runescape is just a game and u are not making any actual profit off of it. as a matter of fact, if u are a member, u are paying to play a game that is not benefiting u in any way at all. so basically dont scam and just have fun playing the game.** Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cemal Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 lolz...not as bad as my cousin. me and him were just the money making buisness (killing drags and sellling drops) and together we made 4 mill from scratch...he bought a abbey whip and trained a bit when some one traded him full verac for it...obiously he accepted a few months later he was merchanting when some guy was about to trade a d chain for what he had and just b4 the first screen he changed the rtade and took it off. now da thing is my cuz never even check (who would) and he last all the veracs and other various things that took us a month to gather lol after that i never trusted that mch money with him again :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scamming is a big problem in Runescape, this post is to show how the scamming can backfire and bite the scammer in the butt. I found the stories to be amusing and a worthy read. Anywho, i usually have a black plate and a black plate (t) in my inventory so scammers who say they can trim armour get a real armour trimmer :) I show them the black pate and then clikc accept, and on second screen i decline and say 'Oh wait i figured out how to do it' then show the the black t plate. Kills them every time. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason.
