specials for armor

Featured Replies

Would it be a bad idea for dragon armor to have special attacks?

Here are the ones I have in mind:

Dragon med:

Gore (25% special) butts opponent with horns - does up to 1.5x damage

Dragon Square shield: Shield bash (30%)

Does 1.5x damage and stuns opponent for 3 seconds

Dragon chain:

Protective aura (100%) - raises defense by 12% and makes player invulnerable for 10 seconds

Dragon legs/skirt:

Power kick (25%) - does 2x damage - player does a powerful kick against an opponent - Chuck Norris style! :P

ARENAscape:

Baratus [AS] max hit: 166 with Moon Battle Hammer

ixfd64 [AS] max hit: 116 with (untitled spell #2)

It would increase demand for dragon armor, but I think it should be limited to defense. Whacking someone with a shield wouldn't make much sense when you have a sword in your other hand.

It would be a bad idea.

People with full drag on would have the attack style page coated with specs, and wouldn't know which was for what. Besides, do we really need more specials? Theres tons already. THey should finish the last of the drag weps, and then leave dragon alone.

People just need to learn to share crabs.
I'd prefer my nether regions clear of diseases, thank you very much.
just turn off accept aids

It would be better if they had it so that the only time the special would work is if you had full dragon on.

If you can't stab/slash with your current weapon in real life, or you don't have one, shield bashing isn't a bad idea. It can throw one's opponenet off balance, knock them to the ground, etc. Shields aren't all defensive.

too many movies?

melleing someone with a shield is well... impossible to do with impact enough to be compareable to a actual weapon.

throwing a shield would be pretty dumb, it leaves you defenceless unless Jagex makes a boomerang shield

Put yourself in a combat situation irl. Your opponent blocks and parries all your sword thrusts and slashes. Best thing to do is to charge him w/ your shiled in front, hope you bowl him over, and then strike the finishing move.

maybe for the shiled bash u can interrrupt opponent next spell...

for example...

u activate sheld bash...[active for 5 sec]

nothing happens yet...

opponent cast a spell...

automatically shild bashes....

spell interupted.

but i dun think the dmg should be 1.5x....

no this is not a good idea its just giving scammers another reason

to scam u so i dont support

The best thing for armour special would be for a dragon set effect, like barrows equipment, im thinking if you have a full set of dragon armour then it would give u immunity to dragon fire, so u wouldnt need a dragonfire shield against dragons

It's standard practice in SCA sword and target combat to use your shield to obstruct your opponent's vision so you can attack from any quarter. You can also use the shield as a tool for pushing against your opponent to throw him off-balance or at the very least force him backwards. Besides that, you can still deliver a nasty bruise if you hit someone with the edge of it, or just plain smack them across the face with a buckler.

Actually, on Diablo 2 LOD there is a Paladin skill called Smite. It hits your opponent with your shield and temp stuns them for around 5 seconds I believe. Works quite nicely. Smite then kill. So don't call someone dumb for an idea that actually would work pretty well.

No offense but I might aswell pick up a barbarian from Barb Village and throw him at Elvarg the dragon.

Nobodys going to sig that? I'm offended

I like how Philip kolar has just abandoned this post...someone makes a valid point against your argument and you just refuse to acknowledge it...nice.
