I would say go for that 1700 before you raise your combat.

 

 

 

I am 94 combat, going for 1700, I love skilling, but I sorely miss slaying.

 

 

 

I think at the end of the day you should make a decision based on your playing style.

 

If you really want to remain a sub-90 skiller then do so. If you can live with still being

 

an awesome skiller, but over 90 combat then do that.

 

 

 

Just remember to stick in the sub-100 club :-)

Either way I'm not sure how much longer I'll be under level 90. I'm seriously considering letting it hit 90 after 1700 total. Anyone who cares to give their opinion post it here. Still not completely sure and an opinion or two can't hurt.

 

 

 

Well 90 is of course the coolest combat level in the book ( ;) ) but for every combat you get your total gets less impressive( in my opinion anyway). You could follow a little in swamps footsteps and do slayer with range, but get hits exp too for 90 combat, then you get slayer up - 2 birds with 1 stone. I persoanlly don't think you should, but don't let others run the way you play rs, do what you want :).

Yesterday I got my last 3 levels. 87 wc while gathering oak logs then 57 con (teak lecterns) and finally 87 crafting (top 1k rank :XD: ) to top it off. Immediately after getting the crafting level I rushed to get my range gear and went to start a bloodveld task I've had for several months. After burthorping a few tasks in a row since I'm only ranging I decided to switch to Lunar spells and use the contact npc spell. Quite handy considering how often I have to change tasks. Getting around isn't too much of a problem between house portals, teletabs, jewelry and fairy rings.

 

 

 

I'm currently on a rather large fire giant assignment and I'm getting bored with combat again. :oops: I'm beginning to think I only wanted to do it as a break from burning logs. Anywho, I have 98 firemaking banked by now and will probably work on that and thieving until I get bored and decide to slay some more. I'll probably come up with a goal based on those or something else that sparks my interest soon. I find I work better with some goal in mind.

Now for 1800 at 90 combat, but congratulations on all skilling levels gained so far.

 

For slayer tasks, I always take Vanakka the Great.

 

I skip dagganoths, shadow warriors, crocodiles, earth warriors and green drags, but that is it, all others I do with range (or mage). (20k needed for slayer 85 with using Vanakka and Turael :P Will get it 15 hours from now :lol: :D :) 8-) :pray:)

One thing i've just noticed - your 90 firemaking....i'm 90 firemaking...we're both going for 99 at some point...we both have 99 banked (almost)...Care to race for 99? I won't be doing it for another 6 rc levels, but if you want the options there, starting with a 4th 99 for my next set of goals might motivate me a bit :D.

Congratulations, Tallest. :) Its a really nice achievement. But dont ruin your characher with combat. =/ If you really want to do combat, do as you are doing now. Range with slayer. Slow combats and you get slayerlevels. =P

I've just completed my latest goal of getting 1600 levels at combat 86.

 

I've been contemplating my next one and beating your achievement would suit me just fine. I'm going to go for 1700 at the lowest level I can achieve below 89.

 

 

 

BTW, a year ago 1600 got one into the top 10,000, nowadays it is just out side the top 20,000. :cry:

 

 

 

Oh, and one other think, Jorus is right. Using Velda for slayer supplies a very nice selection of NPCs to range or mage. I've got to 70 slayer on Range alone using him - I only burthorpe harpies, killawatts and green drags, everything else I range.
