I don't think it has damaged member worlds as much as non member worlds. Though member runecrafting and mages will be hurting.

 

 

 

Many of my friends and I have notice that all the autoers are converting from ess to coal and yews. Check it out your self in the Mining Guild and behind Varock Caslte.

 

 

 

People think that the price of natutre rune wont raised because it hasn't yet. It hasn't raised because members runecrafters usually have stock pile of ess already in there bank. Three of my runecrafting friends had already 100k+ ess in there bank. Once that runs out then there is going to be a desperate need for pure ess. After waiting it out prices will go up I believe.

You hit the nail exactly on the head :) My favourite skills are RuneCrafting and Magic (80 and 98 :lol: ) and as everyone I had a pile of pure ess left in bank (about 171K to be exact). I don't even wanna think about what I'm gonna do when that all is converted into nats or deaths.

 

atm I'm still somewhat happy, because I'll reach 99 mage with the ess I got for sure :D . RC will be harder to train though :(

I used to have an account named 'Auto Cut V3', I would cut at the Draynor Willows, and say random stuff like "spiral color not found, reverting to coordinates", I got reported alot, but never banned because I actually was doing it myself.

Has your right, it has hurt legit players like me. Im now finding it hard to buy large numbers of ess, and I do find some selling a large number, they are trying to take advantage of this update and sell pure ess for an insane price :evil: I was on my way to 85 mage as well !

Naah, seems too complicated for an autoer to do just for ess.

 

 

 

They then sell the ess for rs gp and sell the rs gp for real life money...and when their mining 24/7 sometimes on more than 1 computor..it adds up to alot of money for doing nothing.

I agree completelly. Causing the autoers to become members won't change autoers thoughts at all. As long as the autoers are making a profit on ebay, they wouldn't care if $5 is taken out of theyre $200 or so.

 

 

 

What Jagex did was say, "How can we take an advantage on this." Hopefully they at least said, "How can we take an advantage on this irl and mabey make a small dent in the autoers."

 

 

 

They ended up ruining an aspect of the game though and damaging many others. Actully, if you think about it, it ruined everything.

 

 

 

It will mace RC more expensive which will make mage more expensive. This will make more people convert to melee of range making the arrows and weapons more costly. If enough people cant afford it, then why need cooking to heal damage? Then we might as well forget about fishing, WC and fire since they're mainly for cooking. Because theres no fighting, just forget about prayer, slayer, and hits. And why would we need smelting and crafting to make armor and other items to aid in combat. And with all these stats gone, why have herblore to make potions for the stats. Then why have farming for herblore and food? Why would we need fletching if no range?

 

 

 

So it really hurts every aspect of the game.

the last paragraph in that post does paint quite a picture for the mo im screwed i just finshed my ess 2 days before the update woz jus bout to buy more when the update come belive me i was unlucky im now running very low on runes coz im waiting for the market to stabalise before i buy more. so im now mage training and barrows trips im now out of deaths airs and fires and need ess fast. it hasnt really help autoers but is hasnt hinderd them either it has done damage to the rs economy and affected rl players more than autoers

This makes more money for Jagex, but with members they need to give out personal information. An account gets banned, so what? They make a new one. On their new account they get members, and give out the same personal info they did before. Jagex can see this and ban them before they even finish rune mysteries!

Today, i spent 3 hours in the ess mines with my friend on a member world, and reported atleast 40 autoers. this is going crazy! Secondly, the actual point of this thread. In the next update, you will let f2pers get pure ess to trade. Well that's not gonna help! Autoers can just pay that $5 per autoing account they have, make them mine ess, make that person stake a freind and lose, then you pking that friend on your other account and get all that pure ess to the f2p main those autoers have so he can sell it for geepee, then sell on sites like e-bay about it and make it crativly transported! so jagex, better find a new thing, cuase you just helped autoers get more money and killed f2pers even more. bet you feel good eh? :evil:

the update makes it harder and less apealing for autoers to make money in ess mining using bots. do you know whats going to happen to those 40+ accounts that you reported? they will get banned for autoing if found guilty. do you know what happens when jagex bans paying players? they lose some of their residual income. if people are stupid enough to ante up thier $5 and credit card to risk autoing and getting caught on a members world, where their are more mods and what not, then they must be really stupid, and deserve getting banned and losing their money, and jagex should flag their credit cards in case they want to try signing up more accounts

 

 

 

in f2p, a single person could set up like 8-10 moob accounts and having them autoing on different computers. do you think people will put up $40 to $50 to try that? plus they would need to get each of them to level 30 minig anyway.

 

 

 

just keep reporting them. and rest assured that 40 autoers mining ess in 3 hours is nowhere close to the numbers in f2p worlds

most macroers (i assume) are kids that dont have the funds, know-how or permission to apply for a creditcard every month (or less if they get caught before that), just to continue trying to run their macro scam. and even if they could, sooner or later they will realise that they are losing more than they are gaining.

 

 

 

the macro detection system is far from infallible, or even effective. most people banned for macroing are those reported by other players. its just that a macro is usually an external file that allows you to repeat key strokes or mouseclicks, and automatically have your character run around doing repetitive things. its not that easy to detect, because regular mouse clicking to do certain tasks is really no different if its a legit player or a macro, as far as the game coding is concerned, most of the time. i suppose many autoers are caught with the in-game detection, but i am pretty sure its only a small minority of autoers

Just to clarify what i meant, you can purchase blank cards that are basically pre paid credit cards. They work the same, and typically people use them as a security feature for a one time purchase over the internet. I know a few kids who's parents have given them to them to fund cell phones, etc. I don't think that the macroers are just a bunch of kids...if so, I highly doubt that Jagex would appear to be taking them so seriously. Although, I do have to grant you that when it comes to Jagex, and anything they do, logic oftentimes checks itself at the door.

The pure essence was a bad idea. Autoers can still sell cheated goods to f2pers. And now, members have an even less limited supply of essence now since even less people mine essence in members since theres plenty more BETTER money-makers in f2p. We can't rely on f2p to get us essence because they now use a different kind of essence. Our only hope of getting essence is that autoers switch to members and start mining pure essence for us. This is all the autoers fault though. If they didn't auto, we'd get our essence supplied from f2p, but they forced Jagex to split the essence.

 

 

 

Any members with a large amount of Pure Essence should hold on to it. I predict pure essence prices going up.

Oh noes! I sold 600k ess at 26 each and I suspect them going up to more than their previous peak of 40 each. :( ...me sad now.
