So, I wanted Mage xp, cash, some fun.. and I hate PKing, and didn't want the melee xp, so Barrows seemed perfect.

 

 

 

It's gone great so far, so here's a log! I hope you all like.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here's what I wear:

 

 

 

 

Here's my routine:

 

 

 

Start in Canifis bank, Take shortcut through pub to barrows.

 

Go in Dharok, Slayer dart him in robes.

 

Then on to Verac with remaining prayer. Dart him too.

 

Drink 1 dose of PPot, Dart Karil.

 

Switch to Torag and Dart both Guthan and Torag without pray.

 

Switch to Range and Cbow Ahrim without pray.

 

 

 

That's of course not counting whichever Brother I get in Tunnels.

 

Just use same methode for Brother in Tunnels as Tomb.

 

 

 

After that, Go through Tunnels, Ranging monsters and using all Range spots, such as:

 

 

 

Rocks in NE Tunnel, all rocks in outer Tunnels, and Skeleton body in NW Tunnel.

 

 

 

Get atleast 15KC, then drop Minds/Deaths, Open chest, log the runes, pick Minds/Deaths back up, and Tele-House out.

 

 

 

Then charging Prayer at House and taking Portal back to Canifis and starting all over again! :D

Hmm, I've heard/thought this might be the wrong board, anyone think of a better one? I've seen quite afew logs in General P2P. I thought since it's not a Goal, and not really level achievements.. this would be best.

dont worry man seeing how determined you are you should get a decent chest item very soon.

i recently got lucky 4 ites in 7 last trips :) woohoo :)

i suggest getting mystic, as it has a better mage atk bonus, and as ure praying against the guys defence doesn't matter. also make ure log in an excel spreadsheet, its alot better, like this:

Wow,I do barrows a lot,i've gotten tons of stuff,done LOTS of trips,great cash I think on Rate this or P2P there is a thread about if you use 1000+ prayer pots,it shows a guy with a lot of stuff and a yellow party hat

 

 

 

If you keep doing it and not stopping,you can do 3-4 trips per hour. I currently get 3.

wow ur doing a lot better than i was .. when i was around ur level (81 or 82 )

 

i attempted barrows and all i remember getting was 36 bolt racks on my 6th trip...

 

so i jsut gave up ...

if you have the money, i would suggest using god spells ans ahrims instead of magic dart and splitbark. i have been able to kill the melee brothers with 4-5 spells using this. (also, i only pray on dharok.)

You're doing great man. Glad I could be the one to show you through your first Barrows trip. It'd be nice to think I got you started on a good luck streak but the truth is that luck's all yours. :lol: It's well deserved. Even better luck to you on future trips.

i feel so noobish not having done a barrows run ever, and im lvl 84 -.-

when I was lvl 80 i tried it with a whip and full rune lol. i killed torag and karil and got halfway through ahrim before i teled. Im lvl 91 now and need to get 70 range do finish it up.

I did like 100+ runs and all I got on the last one was a Dharoks Greataxe.

my 1st item was torags legs which i got on about my 4th run. ive only done about 6 altogeather as the prayer pots are to expensive

hehe i'm 117 and have yet to complete a barrows run- went once, i cleared all the guys out, went into tunnels and got bored so i teled. didn't even get to the chest :mrgreen:

It seems like a lot of people are really worried about their first trip at barrows, maybe someone could write a guide to the first trip, I'm not going to bother for two reasons, I can't play until exams are over and I'm lazy!! Good luck with barrows everyone!!

I started barrowing at 80combat, could have started eariler if I had the slayer lvl for mage dart..

Barrow runs arent that hard. Only two barrow items in about 30 runs. Guthan helm and flail back to back.

Sorry I haven't updated this in awhile, been busy with other goals..

 

Working on 70 smith now, have all the ores banked.. gonna be smelt/smithing 65k iron knives.

 

 

 

Guess I'll range with them.. hoping to get atleast 80 range :D

 

Recently got 70 def and Torags helm/plate, along with Verac skirt

 

(skirt has same def as torag, besides range, but it's cheaper and has prayer bonus :) )
