Should JAgex give the option to chang your rs name.. PEople spend allot of time on the game and if they chose a wrong one they should be able to change it what they like. not to all but to ppl with 1500 skills lvls or higher.

I don't think there should be an option to change your RS name. There would be lots of confusion with friends lists and highscores, with people not knowing who they were friends with (ok, that sounds weird, but I hope you get my point).

There is no need to change your name :roll: If you don't like your name why did you pick it?

it would be cool, but it could make it harder for mods and jagex to punish players who have done something wrong, but, it would be kinda cool, but if it were, you would proly have only one chance to change it.

people would scam then change name. Same with macroers therefore they can get reported multiple times.

Well if bans worked by IP it could work. Playstation online uses a think (for most games) called Central Station, it allows 3 accounts (we wont and dont go there) and 3 name changes per year. It works for Playstation/Sony, it COULD (not saying it would) work for Jagex. Yet, the player base is immensely larger than Playstation

I think you should be allowed only 1 name change, and only if your account is over 3 million total xp and has an offensive or really stupid name, i named my mage reaper poo 4 years ago now im stuck with it.

1 name change per 6 months with a $5 fee (and 5 pound fee for you UK'ers) would work out nicely.

a) We don't pay ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã5.00 a month members, we pay ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 which currently is still more than $5.00 a month ($5.83 to be more exact).

 

B) Jagex is an English company, surely it would be cheaper to make a UK transaction

I think name changing would confuse alot of people. Supposed you had 50 people on your friends list... how would they know that you changed your name?

U can only change it once, friend would obviouslt change by itslef along with highscores. U need to play the game untill ur at least 1500 stats or higher. IF runescape wanted to they could charge to make a profit for their trouble! I would really love it. and all the confusion can be taken away if only then make it so it does it by itself!!! anyone else want to add a problem.!!

I personally am happy with the name I use... I've used it for years for many other games and such. However, I could see where people may desire the right to change out names if necessary.

I definately would like to change my name. I choose my current RSN in 2000 or something, at the age of 12 :( I freaking hate my name, it's so childish.

I think all players or players with x total level should get 1 chance to change their name ONCE! And the new name must be something similar so it wont be such a big confusion on friendslist etc.

 

 

 

The reason I think player should get ONE chance to change their name is because when many players started this game, they didn't know they was going to play such a long time. Like me, when I chose my name like 3 years ago, my friend just wrote something random, and i played for 1 week and quited. But after 2 years i came back and I really regret choosing the name i chose... :(

Once, on going to members (or perhaps, once only while a member, once you have settled on a specialty, to have a suitably heroic name in castlewars, barrows, fight cave or whatever).

They should introduce a system many games use where you have an account name (mine's evadek1331) and then you have an ingame name (i'll have evadek).

 

Games like CS and Guild Wars use a system like this and it works

i belive theo nly reason many people wanna change who has playing longer is becose they was young and stupid and chosed a silly name as they didnt know anything of the game,but i dont belive these is gonna ever happen of the fact it would be to messy.

make it a members only option, if you change your name your friends would be notified by a message
