Finally, the way James Bond was meant to be seen...

Personally I like most Bond movies, you all know they're far-fetched and unrealistic (as if one man could boycott an entire organisation all the time  ) but that's what's so charming about them. I love those scenes where Bond gets shot at by a hundred guards and not even one bullet hits him  But hey, that's Bond for you, if people think that's over the edge, they should watch The Matrix or something, at least they have a plausible explanation why Neo & co are such divine fighters.

If I'd have to pick a favourite Bond actor, it'd be Sean Connery of course, he's great in all movies where he gets to be the hero.

Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such.

For some reason, people are already complaining about Daniel Craig as the new James Bond, even though the movie will not be out until this Fall. I, for one, am willing to wait and see how the movie is.

I went to http://www.craigasbond.com which is a site that wants critics to give Daniel Craig a chance as the new James Bond in the new movie Casino Royale. After all, we put up with George Lazenby. :)

I signed the petition at: petition site allowed here /007Bond . Not that anything will come from that. Especially since apparently I can't post that site here. :)

New, trailer. It's looking freaking amazing. The trailer isn't exactly new though, saw it a couple of weeks ago, but sound wasn't working. Now I could see it on IMDB with sound, so I though I'd post it!

That's pure awesome, isn't it?

I like the idea of making him more gritty. However I'm not a big Bond fan. The movies just get boring, they all have the generic storyline which i understand Bond is. Yet it does not appeal to me :notalk:

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

From what you can see in the trailer it seems like his character is given somewhat more emotional depth compared to previous movies. This done using his female collegue which he seems to have a somewhate more indepth relation with than the woman in previous bond movies. It would be interesting development in the series. But that could be only what the trailer wants you to see. Still worth to check it out for yourself though. :P But yea, I can see why you don't like the series.

It's just not 'Bond'. That's of no fault of Craig, but the way the franchise is going. It started with 'Die another day' (which made me want to die that day) and certainly looks to be continuing. The whole concept of Bond was that he had massive charisma, and would perform some of the most gruesome tasks with swagger and humour, forever holding up a fake modesty.

Now? Christ, all that Bond is now is a white xXx. I can understand the idea of 'updating' or contemporising Bond to ensure his survival, but this is way too much. (From the little I've seen through trailers, previews etc. - I could, and hope I am, be wrong when I see the film)

Personally, I hope for a simple death for Bond. Like he walks around a corner and gets shot by a guard.

Kinda like how 002, it think it's 002, is killed in The living Daylights :P Just finished parachuting hadn't even landed and was shot in the back

1. THe movie was removed because of some violation

2. they wanted Ashuaria Rye (sp?) to play, but she wouldn't kiss Bond. She was Miss Universe. I think it's totally rigged though because someone from Earth always wins. <.<

Back to the one month ago topic: nudity is getting quite common on movies. 10 years ago you'd get nearly no nudity on movies. On 'mainstream' movies, you'd get even less of it. A movie from that time that has nudity is Eyes Wide Shut, but I can't think of any other, besides, that wasn't really mainstream, and was directed at mature audiences.

Nowadays, nearly every movie shows female nudity: last two I've watched and I remember are Snakes on a Plane and Lucky Number Slevin.

I don't think it should cause any hype anymore.

I just saw a preview for it, looks like a Bond movie to me. I probably won't see it in theaters, but I will see it someday.

I wish i had a point to attack you against, but i see no flaw in the argument, you are 1000% correct Bubsa, the franchise is going into a downwards spiral :(

it's not really based that closely to the original book - the first casino royale wasn't dont klnwo why this one would be, with hollywood's actionphillia

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Lol, isn't xXx white in the first place?

Hardly any of them are. The entire series is darker than what ends up on screen. And most of the movies stop sharing similiarities with a book after the title.

Heh, I hope I don't come across racist here, but what ethnicity is Vin Diesel? I actually don't know.

I'm pretty sure Ice Cube (xXx 2) is black though :P

Hispanic and Caucasin iirc. I'll go check.

Edit: Ok, seems like he doesn't like to let that slip - your guess is as good as mine :ohnoes:

WHO would have thought that the casting of a blond Bond would stir up such a hornet̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s nest of controversy? Daniel Craig has been the subject of fevered speculation and a good few personal attacks since he signed on as the sixth Bond, and even now there are threats of boycotts in some sectors of the online community.

But despite the antipathy to the idea of Craig as Bond, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s all good news for EON productions. Although the previous instalment was drubbed by critics and audiences alike, the fans still care enough about the Bond series to get angry.

While Die Another Day was a box-office draw, in it Bond was in danger of losing something equally valuable to the franchise in the long term: his cool. It was the invisible car that did it. That, and a blanket of special effects that could smother the life out of the best of screenplays ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
