Lower Level Member Population

i disagree with the idea that the lower levels are joining... then it just makes the rs member population be like the free population.... kinda like an insane asylum.

 

edit: this might sound mean... but there are many lower levels that aren't mature on members servers.

i am probably going to end up a lower level member. because i was going to get members in the summer on my main but it got banned but i still am going to take advantages of my skills on f2p first.

 

 

 

the level 3s might have been f2p with another account then decided to get members and start on members fresh but i think i will be about levl 20 to 50 idk whan i finally join.

 

 

 

btw DRAGON ARMOR isn't the only thing good in members

ya i remember when i started members at i think 50-60 i rarely saw ppl my lvl always ppl higher than me and now i see tons of lvl 40 and 30s and all the 40s some how did desert treasure while i am lvl 91 and i still havent gonna do when i get another barrows drop i have probably an all time record over 100+ runs without another barrows drop

I think I was maybe a level 20-something when I got members.

 

 

 

I started playing Memorial Day weekend 2004. I got members on June 18, 2004 because I knew I was hooked. So what, 3 weeks? Not long at all. Couldn't go anywhere without a map, thought I was da bomb when I could wear steel plate 8-) What can I say, I'm easy to please.

 

 

 

Now I'm getting up there, coming up on 2 years. 208 quest points. I still don't know everything and still haven't been everywhere. Now I'm da bomb in my black dhide and whip. :roll:

I too have noticed a large influx of lower leveled members. I think that the largest cause is the fact that autoers are (hopefully temporarily) winning in a huge way on f2p. If you want to see a bunch try CW or PC.

 

 

 

They seem to be better behaved than a bunch of 70-80s that I have met (no offense) so that is a nice bonus. I say more should join!

yea at castle wars it's very noticable, so many more lower levels than there used to be

Whenever I'm playing I have to double check that I'm on a members server, it looks like i'm on f2p with all the low levels around recently.

 

 

 

Although I did join at level 27, but I had about 6 months experience under me.

I started runescape on 23dec04, as a member. $5USD is nothing, I figured if I didnt like the game after a month, I would just cancel. So I have never ever been F2P. There are a lot of adult players in the game. I belong to two adult exclusive clans. Maybe a lot more have started the game. I have had 7 friends in RL from work start playing just from hearing me talk about it.

 

 

 

From an adults point of view, $5usd is no big deal, my lunch costs 3 times that. So if they start up a character, it only makes sense to have everything available to you.

 

 

 

That was my reasoning, I do not like limitations, and wanted to be able to do and see everything. It is also getting close to summer time, most kids will be out of school soon, and logging on to play.

yeah, if Jagex doesn't fix this recent login problem, I may take the new account I made to make a complaint to Jagex, make it members, and skill pure it in Fletching and Woodcutting, and a couple of other things once it gets up there.

And a lot of the lowest levels are probably looters.

most people who are low levl and p2p have a sense of politness and not idiotic noobness. Thats just what i've noticed and thats the good part

I think the majority of it is due to summer coming up and if it's anything like last year the number of players will skyrocket. If anything I'd prefer to meet a fresh lvl 3 to members than a lvl 40 who's really entrenched in begging and scamming and continues on in that way. I've noticed quite a few more players under lvl 50 but what can I say, I was lvl 48 or so when I got members. Plus I've actually met a few genuinely nice new players who've never been f2p and helped them around. As someone mentioned, this shows them that not all players higher than them are rude and also teaches them ways to be self-sufficient and not beg.

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with being lvl 45? its like you saying you started runescape at lvl 46, i've been playing 2 years now yet im only lvl 48 as i don't see the game as a race to get my combat over 50

Yeah i been seeing lvl 3s in Lumbridge. I was confused at first. But realised they probally are macroing.

 

 

 

My mate who sells me Cannon balls is a lvl 49 and he's about to do D slayer lol. He's a member :)

Yuck, don't wc willows at draynor, lol. A lvl 20ish told me that his lvl 146 :lol: friend has two lava capes. When I pointed out that is all impossible he said that his friend must be lying. I guess he has never actually seen that friend in-game? Hehe. After that was a lvl 30ish who was killing those little black wizards in the hopes that somebody would lose an axe head. After a bit somebody did and he stole it and logged. :roll: After that another lower lvled player came by and kept going on and on about how a lava cape should be called a (and I quote) "n00by moving puke cape". At that point I turned off chat and finished lvl 85 wc in peace. :wink:

 

 

 

Other than that most lower lvled members are pretty polite as was I when I joined at less than 20 combat.
