rft Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 well i like the sound of this update. I wont be able to test it out until I get home, but I think that in the long run, this update will own. It seems to me that there are clearly a few teething problems, most notably with lag. Surely the solution is not to go pking or trading valuable items until you are more confident that it is not going to be a problem. I'm so looking forward to hearing the sounds of rs again since I had to patch my internet back together six months ago. And the chat system... I'm kind of a spelling/grammar freak, even though English is my second language I try and type everything correctly, without abreviations. The first thing I'm gonna do when I log in is pay a visit to the f2p yew trees, in the hope of finding just a couple of autoers, if any. What I'm wondering is if Jagex will remove some of the more annoying random events if their new anti-macro system is proved effective. Frontpage of runescape: Under 'download extra files' It's a no-thrills shell. Haven't had problems with it since using it. Firefox is just hype. Because it is supposed to be the fastest browser. But you are not browsing. Anyway, I switched back to opera again as a browser because firefox is becoming too popular and hence is becoming more vulnerable again. end unrelated rant. Ero Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 If you want to get rid of the Loading music then open the "volume properties" in your taskbar and mute SW Synth. This is also the same for the people who have sound effects but not Runescape music, but the opposite. I don't see why this is such a problem. Loading is unbelievably slow. I don't see how this is, my Runescape now loads 4X faster then it used to, try using a less populated world, or closing some programs on your computer. I can hardly move... Again my computers really bad compared to todays standards, yet i can run Runescape, Music, Internet, MSN and IRC without any lag now. You can typ URLs.. Big deal?
