Please note that the polls are one of many ways used by Jagex for new additions to RuneScape and not every poll used will mean there will be a new release in the game.

Through skills, so that I can make them.

seems slayer monsters arent so heavily favored as i expected

i voted, skills, hopefully it will, make certain skills less boring or, introduce more skills

People dont like slayer because they need to train it intensely and requires a bit of money to be spent in the first place to reap the rewards.

Skills would be good, so they could be pumped out.

But they should be tradable weapons. Not just you can make a bow at level 90 fletching from a mysterious tree located somewhere, or pull up an ancient sword from the depths at level 85 fishing.

Monster drops wouldn't be too bad either.

I would want it to be from a slayer monster, that would be much kooler than being able to make it from a normal skill.

Currently training all skills to or above 60.

Barrows drops: 87 runs done so far. Torag Platebody on 4th run. Guthan Chainskirt on 35th run. Dharok Helm on 45th run. Torag platelegs on 49th run. Ahrim Robeskirt on 86th run.

Redo the smithing skill for members so its actually useful, leave it as is in f2p.

i actually think they should do the tree one. thatd probably make rangers happy they got a decent update.

itd be nice to do that, make all p2p items f2p, make the tourist trap quest f2p so they can make and use darts and knives.

itroduce amazingly new stuff. such as the bow swords.

High slayer monster, like 90 or 95.

mini games got my vote - but i realy like the idea of a non-tradeable weapon that requires a high skill level to get - bringing skilling to a use in the wildy. A cool bow you can make at lvl 90 fletch that is more high powered than mage and faster than crystal would be wicked. However mini games keep the prices of the items reasonably high for quite a while, and means you have to exert some effort into getting it - either by money making or doing the game, rather than being able to buy it cheap

The reason slayer isn't a popular choice is that it will make a handfull of people insanely rich when the new weapon first comes out. When the Dark Beasts came out all level 90 slayers camped there for days in the hope of a rare drop.

As you can see people want themselves to be that rich so they vote for what they think they can accomplish to get the weapon. Nr 1 in the vote is single combat monster drop, so you won't have to share your newly found riches. Nr 2 is through skills, now the price wouldn't be controlled by drop rarity but by the number of people being able to make the item and if you look in the highscores every skill has loads of people with lvl 99 so the price will stabilize pretty quickly at an acceptable level. Nr 3 is through quests, there was a poll a while ago that showed that qp have a normal distribution (not counting f2p of course) and everytime a new quest comes out you see people posting 'if the reward is good I'll do the quest'. With recipe for disaster one of the best quest rewards ever came out so people will probably have done all the required quests to get it and think they can do it again for a new weapon reward.

Personally I think new weapons should be hard to get and preferably have a high lvl wielding requirement. Hardest to get would be a rare drop from a monster not everyone can fight, i.e. a high lvl slayer monster.

But it still seems that players want to make weapons from another skill, like smithing which you still have to keep training hard on.

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

I just want to get them with something non-luck-related, thats all I want.

They can keep bringing noob weapons and crappy weapons into the game through quests and team killable monsters but the best weapon should come from a 95 or 99 slayer required monster.

If they don't then all they did is make slayer an addition to your skill total.

Slayer= Firemaking? We shall soon see.

Of course the non slayers want it a different way.

Thats why shortly after the whip came out, noobs Boo hooedand we got the dragon scimi.

Lame--oo--lame-- lame.

Slay On,

Axe Man Jack

PS yes I would likely make money if they released it through a high slayer monster. But I also spent 6+ hard monsth of mylife slaving away to get my Slayer as high as it is. I believe I am due.

The Slayers Guild a Slayer Clan led by Axe Man Jack

Proud to have written the most plagiarized Slayer guide on the planet.

From skills like smithing or crafting or fletching.

Maybe customizable stuff would be great.

Alot of skills are just lagging behind in usefulness.

I mean what is there to look forward to in smithing?

Rune knives... rune plates. Bleh.

Skills need a boost.

Slayer doesnt need another drop unless they are outdoing the whip.

P.S. Slaving away on a game. Thats new terminology for me. If im doing something and its not fun, im not doing it anymore unless there is some reward in the end.

He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol

Slayer is a method of making money. What they should od is put drop rates up. What they shouldn't do is put another slayer drop weapon that is better than whip. A weapon which either made by a player skill, and is untradeable (meaning everyone has to work for it, not get lucky on staking or get given it by a friend). Or a weapon accesible through a mini-game or quest, something which taxes ability not "I hit fire giants constantly for 6 months, gimme free stuff...", that shows dedication, sure, but no real skill.

i voted for single monster, because it takes skills to kill harder monsters and it takes Iron Dragons, because you need anti fire breath pots and so on and so forth.

through skills or single combat monstor drops. OH AND F2P!
