No necessary fees, no downloads, and its played right inside the browser. Jagex is always on the move with new updates to make our "runescaping" all the more fun, but theres one thing that i believe could use some critiquing and had been left untouched for some time now. The Friend Chat System!!! It works great as a simple tool, but for some people like me who have a great variety amongst their friends list, would like some adjustments to it. I've narrowed down the people in my friends list into about 6 categories. (1) All around friends (2) Employees (3) Employers (4) Buyers (5) Sellers (6) and Clan Mates Now wouldn't it be great if we could have all of these split up into groups on our friends list? I can't tell you how many times i've had someone log on and message me.... and i have no idea who they are. It gets very hard to keep track of in my opinion. Better yet, couldn't they have a system like other chat softwares, where you can create and title your own lists? Plz post if you agree or disagree! One of the things I like about runescape is that the chat system isn't as cluttery as most other MMOs (and the fact that there aren't a bazillion names floating over peoples heads), so I personally don't want to see it change too much, but a nice little filing system is always good. Another feature I would like to see brought back is a text command to send PM's (please let me know if there already is one) A few years ago, if you wanted to send me a message, you could say "Tell TrunksRS 'message'", and it would pm me. The flaw with this was trying to say something like "tell me when your done" (that's how I found it). People going 'OMG you're Svirneblin!' or 'Can I have your babies!?' or 'I'm only level 126, but you can have my abby whip!'. Well, not quite, but you get the picture. It would be nice to have a more organized private chat, though Runescape's is one of the better ones. I really wouldn't call it an era.
