Estimation at money drained after just 3 days

Okay.. I love silly facts like this, so I attempted to obtain a rough number..

I browsed the highscores a bit and made groups, based on xp ranges. Then taking the average as the middle of the min. and max. exp in the range, (a very bad way since it's not linear - but will suffice as it's only a rough estimation - I hope :lol:).. but as you can see I only did this in the xp ranges under 500k.

#players - XP - rank highscores - XP range

9 3.2M (2M+)

53 1.2M #62 (2M-1M)

204 700k #266 (1M-500k)

174 450k #440 (500k-400k)

326 350k #766 (400k-300k)

917 250k #1,683 (300k-200k)

5431 150k #7,114 (200k-100k)

8531 75k #15,645 (100k-50k)

45951 31k #61,596 (50k-13k)

Sum of XP:

28800000+63600000+142800000+78300000+114100000

+229250000+814650000+639825000+1424481000

=====================================

3535806000 Total XP (lv 99 - 30)

Let's assume that everyone used Oak logs/planks to level as they have a good gp-xp ratio maintaining a reasonable training speed.

Oak logs have a (250gp/60xp) = 4,17gp per xp ratio.

Futhermore,

The average level of the players is: (Total xp/#players, etc) lv 45

Assuming that everyone once bought all the rooms to and with the Combat room (lv 32)

96,000gp per House * 61600 Players = 5913600000 gp

3535806000 Xp * 4,17 gp per xp = 14744311020 gp

=====================================

Total Amount of GP drained: 20,657,911,020 gp

20B gold pieces

Note: Duke Freedom made an estimation on the total amount of gp in the game, back in September 2005 - Total amount of GP in RuneScape - 455B

Crazy, I used 1 mil getting to 50 :o

The stuff towards the end though... If people actually buy the boss monsters and crystal thrones and all, that's a crazy amount money leaving in itself.

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

insane. i don't think that alchers did produce that much money in last 3 days.

look slike gp getting it's value back :)

also as competition for #1 spot is on, i don't think they use oaks to train, more likely teaks or smth if they have in bank :)

good job jagex.

Ha, good thing I have 40 mil cash sitting in my bank 8) At this rate it'll double in a month, lol. But I really do love this update. I think it's a fantastic update because 1) shows how rich you are 2) doesn't put the money back into the economy like p-hats do, it gets rid of it. Maybe now the huge inflation will stop

Because bepo is always right

96,000gp per House * 61600 Players = 5913600000 gp

3535806000 Xp * 4,17 gp per xp = 14744311020 gp

=====================================

Total Amount of GP drained: 20,657,911,020 gp

I suppose it's a typing mistake, but if in line 1 it actually is 96k GP per house, why did you multiply it by 4.17? doesn't really make sense, but i suppose you mean 96k XP instead of gp.

other than that its an insane amount of money spent in 3 days lol.

ask your self, is it worth it?

im lvl 56 at this moment, i can repair my barrows armor for 35% less then normal...and i can have fun in my house..the 1.5mi(i didnt keep track) might pay for its self, i dont use my barrows armor nearly enough to for the 35% deduction to make up for the $ i spent...but maybe i can make it back later.

but remember, if you happen to use barrows enough in the future, it WILL pay out. And if you level your smithing, it will only lower in price (unless some update changes that)

And the extra money you make as a result of faster teleport by the use of portals will also contribute towards replacing the cost of the house.
