the bottom line is that it really doesn't matter whether or not what durial did was/is moraly reprehensible. Jagex, the mighty Jagex, that censors us from typing the words Google, MSN.... etc... allowed this individual to commit these acts on unsuspecting citizens, then held him responsible for their own mistake.

Due to the date this happened its pretty obvious that Jagex were involved......maybe they planted the bug to trick someone and then ban them?

this guy is very well known now. Seeing on how everyone was in 'aw' .

 

this would be alot better forum with pictures. i was told over 300 rares were lost. if you look around there is a video on this and a talk with durial.

to clarify, i do not believe that this individual deserves to be a legend, nor do i believe that he deserves to be banned, however both have become realities, and only one of those can be changed, which I personally believe Jagex should do, since it was their fault that this happened.

That's right but this is a bug in a game were talking about, not taking real lives. He IS a "legend" because he will forever be remembered for doing what many pkers dream of and taking full advantage of it. Also the fact that he's banned helps portray him as a "legend".

Ya it's a game, why bother idolizing someone over it. Oh and I can quite happily say I wouldn't have attacked anyone. I've teled out of the wildy and stuff and it's still had the "Attack" option there (we've all probably heard of it, and know you can't attack anyone or anything) so if I got booted out of the house and it was still there I would've thought nothing of it and just went on with whatever I was doing.

I'm not saying that I think what Durial did is right... or wrong, I'm actually quite indifferent, but you can't discredit what he's done just cuz you don't approve.
