chenw
Yes, It will come Back. My Veiw of this is: A system update comes, Construction Appeared! everyone is running around like a head-less Chickens! They see the price's needed and sell all their Rares,Barrows and Weapons, the forum turns like this Selling Rare Selling rare selling rare!?!!11 Selling rares Selling rares Selling rares Buying Santa... Same thing with the Armour and Weapons forums...With so many for sale all the buyers are gone...People get desperate, And when people get desperate they drop prices like mad! First everything drops by 100k, then another 100k, then a big 300k, then a 100k....The desperate people are everywhere selling everything (i was desperate and sold ranger set 4.1) But soon all Selling will be done, Alchers will make cash, Sellers spend their money on their house which dissapears (the cash.) And no mor Desperate Idiots to DESTROY (that's right DESTROY) the economy, IMO the money drain was a large hit on Runescape. My money making was affected and Barrows rewards are worth less...They were low enough already. Thanks for reading this cabbage Aussy (also yssua or Nurse) Please for heaven's sake DO NOT put Value and how much GP your thing is worth together. They are 2 completely and utterly different things. For example, when the GP's are inflated, your barrow set costs 100m, and full dragon costs 500m, now your barrow set costs 100k and full dragon 500k. Does that mean the economy has been destroyed? No, the latter is the more NORMAL economy, while the former one is the heavily inflated one. Look at post WWI germany, everything was in billions (if not more), and if you had 1 billion, can you consider yourself be rich? of course NOT, because you can't afford a loaf of bread, so you are poor. The Value of Barrow and Dragon remains the same (5 barrow sets worth the dragon, and the demands for both is similar before and after con). Now your GP is worth more, so you can buy things with less GP. This means that poor people have a chance to buy things they could not have before, and those who are rich already becomes richer, because their GP worth more, so they can buy more. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. slayercool66
Prices are allready on their way up. Just today I bought a whip for 2.3 and sold it later for 2.7. I bought a fury for 4.3 and a berserker ring for 3 mil, now I can easy sell them for 4.6 and 3.4 and still raising  RIP The Old Nite ='(
13bee
last I looked, before construction, inflation was spiraling out of control Prices were soaring. The deflation brought by construction has helped the economy recover from the inflation. If Jagex put in a giant money drain like construction about every year and a half the economy would be just fine.
Giordano
Once High Alchers kick in, you can expet high prices. As another note, last week I went to World 2. Cannons were selling for 450k-500k!! Good thing I bought one and saving it after the deflation. nightshade53
If you ask me high alching needs to go, if high alching is the problem then a money sink is only a temporary solution. From what ive seen, you are somewhat correct. I know people are flaming you for that comment but heres why i agree... Back in rsc high alch wasnt something used very often, thus keeping gp out of the game that now isnt. When they brought rune crafting into the game is when it started to get out of control. So yes i think the problem is high alching, just need to think of a better way to fix it, cant just get rid of it... Maybe 2 nats required for each spell? I'm thinking about the amount of alchers, not considering price changes of materials. This is not an ideal solution as it would pretty much destroy the woodcutting/fletching side of the market  , which seems to be quite massive . #-o . attackyomom
the economy has bounced back in my opinion the prices on barrows have been the same for a few weeks now and there not gonna change because theres always gonna be more items coming in so more ppl would be fine with selling lower and rares are back up to normalish the only reason why most ppl think the economy is messed up is because they bought stuff hoping to merchant it then pohs came back and they lost money so there angry
Cool1
Prices are gradually going to go up, especially for items in high demand. The economy wasn't completely ruined, I made quite a profit from it  As for me, I'm not buying stuff because I'm spending it all, or what I'll have to pay, to get me to 75+ construction. I'm still going to alch stuff, get some xp and get me to 94+ mage. IMO the economy is more or less balanced. Construction ftw! Oh yea, and alching :P

sheepdean
i had ~900k before construction, and have just reached 2m for the second time ever.. how? because i didnt start construction. no one seemed to want gp anymore, and i made a killing off logs etc. i am an example of construction going wrong - people have made money, nowhere near the amount lost, but we have discovered that construction can be bought and sold between pl;ayers (to a certain extent). once enough merchnaters get onto this, construction will have no effect on the economy at all - i predict inflation above pre-construction before july Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
