Today, I finally ended on RuneScape. I logged on one last time to take care of some business. I gave away, dropped, or sold almost everything I had. I gave a D-Long and a DDS to my friend who I know IRL. Then I just went crazy and gave random people certain stuff. In then end, all I kept was full Rune, 300K, my Kitty ^.^, and my Easter Ring. RuneScape was fun for the 3 months I played it. I achieved quite a bit during that time. I got 60 attack, 50 defense, 50 strength, 60 mining, 45 RuneCrafting, 33 magic, 20 ranged, and some other decent levels that aren't really worth mentioning. Anyway, there's no way in hell that I would leave these forums. The people are awesome! You just won't find me in the RuneScape area much. I will be in the Off-Topic and The Gallery. Well, farewell RuneScape...

Oh right... I kind of left that part out... I quit because I played so much that I got tired of it quickly. I took a break for about a month and still can't get into it. I decided to cancel my membership before the next month. I also saved the full Rune and 300K incase I decide to come back...

I tried that too... I still couldn't get into it... Also, I kind of went back to playing StarCraft and Gunz: The Duel... They're fun games... Lastly, the reason I doubt I will come back is because I'm occupied with StarCraft and Gunz and in December, I'm getting an Xbox 360 so it will be back to console gaming for me...

Anyway, there's no way in hell that I would leave these forums. The people are awesome!

Wow.... 3 Months and you achieved more than I did in probably two years :? . Well godspeed and you never know, you might come back, very smart for you to have saved some items.

i kind of did same thing as you except i had all my skills lvled more after playing for 5months i got rs got boring for me took half year break then started again and i saved everything which was awesome cause when i got bored and took break i had bought hundreds of ranarrs and made ppots so i had about 300ish ppots and got them at 4k each at highest and when i came back they had raised to 6k each wow did it make me happy

Don't worry about it. I'm the king of ditching Runescape for a while. :P

 

 

 

I started 5 years ago, played for about a year on Classic, then "quit" for about a year. Came back roughly when RS2 came out, then got members soon after that. After members, I quit for another 3 months, then started playing for another 6 months. Got really bored of all the updates after Farming so I quit *yet* again. Finally, after about another half a year of playing other MMO's, got interested in RS again for some strange reason, and have been playing again for about that last 3 months.

 

 

 

Good times. So really although I've been a user for 5 years, I've really only played for 3.

 

 

 

But yeah, I'm a good example of a fluctuating player. Never gave away stuff though, just kept it there.

have you tried a clan? the clan im in you are probably too low of combat to get into but there are plenty of clan out there. they add a whole new demension to runescape and i suggest them. its worth a try =P

Good idea, get membership, make about... 3m, get ancient magicks, trust me, it's totally worth the 5 dollars a month :twisted: Ice some noobs in the wild... Then Ftw, dds special and mage short \

I don't mean to be rude, in all honestly, but Hell here it goes:

 

 

 

You didn't accomplish much at all, the game honestly isn't much fun if your not good at it, and ... well to be blunt your not good at it. Unless it's for reasons IRL or finacial isssues, I suggest you stick around till lvl 80+ when you can acually have fun in the game. I'm not saying it's impossible to have fun if you don't no-life the game, but it's harder to accomplish things at lower levels, and you get ridiculed ALOT at lower levels, which would prolly make you less self confident, and making you think the games unfun?

Actually, I loved the game for a while. I just got tired of it. I found better things to do. I now enjoy the games I previously listed as well as creating sigs. Not to mention, summer has started so I don't want to be sitting at a computer playing RuneScape 24/7. As for being ridiculed, the second I joined members, I was ridiculed very few times. When I was, it was usually because I could mine faster than the guy and he got mad. You say I didn't accomplish much at all? Part of the reason I'm quitting is because I accomplished too much. I played too much and got tired of it. I'd rather you just not post at all if your gonna leave posts like that.

Well, quite frankly you didn't skill wise, there's 13million xp in a skill and you might of only got 1mil at the most mate.

Oh no, I know I never achieved any huge level or anything. It was the rate I did it in. I sat up in North Relleka killing rock crabs for hours to go from 40 attack to 60 attack, 20 defense to 50 defense, and from 20 strength to 50 strength... I would never consider myself to have gotten to a high level. I just tried to work too fast and eventually my love for RS died out....

I understand, but according to what your saying you've played for months but got all of your higher skills in a few hours? Sounds like someones been procrastinating lol 8-)

If all my friends IRL and the great friends i made here didn't play, then i'd quit. To me Runescape is more of a way to Chat like MSN then a large game. That's why i find runescape so hard as well...I can't train unless someone is there talking with me or someone is talking via PM

Ha, I've already retired, but not quit.

 

 

 

IMO you can be retired even if you still play as long as you don't do ANYTHING on rs that you don't want to.

 

 

 

To the thread starter: Try construction, it's my fav skill ^_^
