sheepdean
first off-topic thread, so be nice  What is your definition of love? In my Opinion, love is simply the release of phenylethylamine into your bloodstream. This may not be very romantic, but I can't see what purpose there can be in nature for love - very few animals besides humans do it - penguins, swans and dolphins are the main examples that have proof. I would like to know what your opinions are on what love is (not neccesarily literally, but what you think it is) Do you think that there is more to it than reproduction? And why does love even happen, as it is a major biological fault, as if you only spread your genes through one line, you will limit your beneficial mutations Also, what is the reason for same-gender relationships? I'm not saying anything negative towards such a relationship, but what purpose is there for such a relationship? is it nature gone wrong or proof that 'love' is exempt from nature's laws? Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. Lionheart_0
i just like girls :) :3> :boohoo: scrap the romance :boohoo: This is why you will not get a girlfriend. Anyways, Love is love, there is no real way to explain it. Most people mistake lust for love, but for those that know true love, it helps fuel their path to having happyness, being with the loved one. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! mixand
to me.. its the feeling of when you see and talk to the person you like.. the funny tingling feeling inside you that makes you want to be with them for ever and ever :3> lol "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. mad4u689
Since humans are social creatures by their biological nature, it makes sense that forming relationships will be very important to them and their survival. While everything we do may boil down to biological reasons (since we are, as it is, biological creatures), that doesn't mean we can't view it a level higher up, on the scale of our consciousness and the reality we form, complete with relationships with other people. On that level, I think love is something that develops between two (or among more, possibly) people which combines sexual desire, deep friendship (openness and understanding and playfulness between the people), and a third "romance" factor which I haven't quite worked out in determining. I don't think love is bound by the limits of heterosexuality or two-to-a-couple or one-at-a-time. I suppose I believe in polyamory... it takes a lot of time and mind to love someone, so loving more than one person separately at the same time could be difficult, I suppose, but I think definitely possible. Everybody hug and spread the love :D
EYOWAREYA
Love is what you believe it is. Some people might think being faithful to someone is apart of love, other people may cheat on someone and still say they love the person. I think it maybe a broad term for many beliefs and values you have in life and being able to fall in love with someone else is believing, respecting or sharing the beliefs they have about the same things. Some people might think being faithful to someone is apart of love, other people may cheat on someone and still say they love the person. That's a very good point. I believe in my concept of love as I described it, but everyone needs to define their own concept of love to fit it into their own life :o) Everybody hug and spread the love :D
Faux
Love for me is something you share with your significant other. Love for your family is given. It's there, you can't change that. You were born to. But love to someone else is special. You choose, you give, you love. Then maybe, your love would stay there til you marry him/her. :3> :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

minim3jr
[most poeple mistake lust for love quote] Like those girls that sleep with guys like bill gates or other mingers that are rich anyway, love is unexplainable, it's complicated, makes you do stupiud things, love is something you feel, love is an emotion and people, you just can't make a love potion (i've tryed xD) anywayz i like girls. ffs, damn stupid quote...... knives669
I believe that love is a bond of trust, caring, and interest (whether it be sexual or not) in someone else. I think there are many kinds of love. The love I have for my parents isn't the same as the love I have for my friends, and the love I have for my friends isn't the same as the love I have for my boyfriend. At the same time, I also think that love is loyalty. I'm not saying that couples who cheat on each other don't love each other, I just think that if you do cheat on someone, or if you have multiple "relations" with other people if you have a significant other, you view love wrong. Loyalty is a great way to show that you love someone, and I would not have a relationship without it.
SLOWSTORM
to make a second point (which will be added to my first post), what is the reason for same-gender relationships? I'm not saying anything negative towards such a relationship, but what purpose is there for such a relationship? is it nature gone wrong or proof that 'love' is exempt from nature's laws? Same-gender realtionships have nothing to do with love. Love is not what makes you sleep with someone. Lust is. Love is what makes you think of someone else before yourself, not what makes you sleep with them. When you are learning, you are growing. If you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you die. Train hard, eat fried chicken, and take a one-a-day.
