Again, look at that work...it's a background with the same (bad) text of the previous one with a very poor font, imo. The bg itself...u claim it ? Then explain me why the ripples are periodical ? u can see they are exactely the same after a short distance. That makes me think of a web page background block used there, and the overall bad quality of the image compression compared to foreground (as the previous one)suggests the same. If u designed that in Ps then u'll hardly have such an effect. Any1 noticed that ?

So far we have only seen 2 sigs with, what seems to be, a Photoshop filtered background with some less-readable text, and a pretty nice site layout. But none of it is anything special.

As some of you noticed, the quality of my backgrounds were damaged because they were stored in JPG file format. This is because I am using a modified version of a SourceForge programmed texture maker, which doesn't support pings and other common file types. Bitmaps and JPGs are just about all I can make (gifs get screwed due to transparency issues), and bitmaps are not supported here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the comments regarding the ammount of debating over actualy work, I cannot be blamed for this. I am simply responding to the replies I get. And a guess what? Those who have posted such have also been contributing to this.

Just had a thought on the 3D model. Was it a screenshot or something similar (preview render), or was it the full rendered one? It would explain a lot about the quality. Another question, why would you release a terrible preview instead of the best you could do without releasing the model?

A comment on the new posts. Some of the backgrounds are cool, I especially like the things going BOOM. The text however, is rather horrible in all of them. Pixelish and with some texture?? Bad.

I just saw them, and, it can't be put into words how bad I think that they are. If I were you, I'd read a lot more tutorials. People may say, Ooooh, you just pulled that from a tutorial." You could just save em as bmp, re-open in another program, then export it as jpg, gif or png...Which would still maintain the quality it had in the first place..

I might not have the best fonts, but it comes to modeling, I can honestly say I'm just about as professional as anyone. I have a more custom smoothed version in the game that was for, I just kept the unsmoothed copy because you can't de-smooth a model to lower the poly count.

That is laughable! That is a terrible sig, and although I don't have a whloe lot of room to talk, I think that is the lowest of the low.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You seem to have no sense of colours because the text seems almost to fade into the background. It doesn't stand out at all, and thus is hard to read. Not to mention that the terrible font adds to that.

What's bad about the backgrounds? I'm very experienced as a texture maker. Though the last background had small tiles which made it rather repetative, it tiled very nicely. It takes a lot of experience to make backgrounds tile like that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I assure you your advice is not needed. I do use photoshop for many things, but it simply isn't powerful enough when it comes to texture making.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What would the name of the programs be? I think I know why they are supersecret. Because it is just a bad cover for either taking another sig making noobs work (from a tutorial), or you did it from a Easy level tutorial. You can't mask a bad sig.

 

 

 

They have no name. I programmed them for my personal use. I have had many many years of programming experience, and a lot of the software I use for various things was written by myself. So don't try to imply that I am a beginner. If you really want to have this debate, you should at least post some of your own work, or else there's nothing to support your arguments.
