Barrows is going great. I got just yesterday and everythings running smoothly. Got 60 strength on pure. Decided to come back and finish the last two chest I had enough pray pots to do. Had 2 pray pot (4) and 1 dose So first trip runs smoothly. Nothing from chest. Second trip is where the havoc begins. I took a break after first trip. When I opened RS window, there was major lag. Of course, i recognize the problem was that I had two RS windows open. I quickly close one. Gets rid of lag problem. Karil goes smoothly. Dharok....is tunnel. Heres where i say to myself...this might turn out quite badly. After verac, still had 2 doses left. So i think to my self, no problem i can do this. Ahrim, guthan, torag, no problem at all. Tunnel time. BAM first door open is one dharok. Hits me for 32. Now my heart is pumping blood like a fire hydrant pumping water. I quickly get out of there. Heal with guthan. Full health. Put on mage gear, drink pots. Open door. Second dharok.... Ok....this might turn out really badly. Two dharoks. Some how i can't manage to kill one and i get both to less than half health when prayer runs out. I open door. Heal with guthan. Now im pondering what to do. Two dharoks. Me wearing full guthan. Can they both pull off two high hits on my awesome guthan at the same time? Yea they can...In my clouded reasoning, open door. BAM BAM 43 and 45. I frantically try to open the door again to sidestep. But too late.. We'll finish this later We'll finish this later Zamorak reclaims your cape as it touches the groud Oh dear you're dead! Respawns in fally. Inventory = c bow 8/10 + guth top + guth skirt Me = Depression + laughing at myself + dreading the daunting task of earning it all back + a sudden urge to share this story with the world Lost: Guthan Spear Guthan Helm Fury ammy Seers ring Ahrim hood The fresh d med that i just got from chest =( 5k minds, 800 deaths, 1k chaos, 600 bloods. Karil top and bottom Wiz boots Whip Monk robe top and bottom =( Zam book Zam cape Moral of story? Dharok(s) + no prayer = Dramatic, funny yet traumatizing death. Don't bring C bow to barrows...take karil's bow...May save me a guthan helm next time Bye bye, i'm off to go play pingpong. Everyone dies, just blows when it's Guthan Spear that goes bye-bye. ihavenoidea6 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Share Posted July 7, 2006 I was surprised that i actually laughed at myself as well.. Lesson learned...the hard way. I think total loss comes to around 15m+? I have 11m in the bank currently and i'll be back at barrows again on Monday after i buy the required stuff. And yes, i will be barrowing in guthan again. So if you'd like, you can follow me around hoping that I die. I always barrow on world two because i like conversing with the looters in Dharok's tomb. Hope you can too. Lost a fury amulet, whip, guthans spear and helm, climbing boots, 4k cannonballs, beserker, and obby cape. Note to self: When you start to see lag.. Veryhyper Posted July 8, 2006 Share Posted July 8, 2006 I've almost died twice due to that twin brother glitch. I guess they aren't trying to fix it anymore? Or is it not a glitch? Btw a twin can spawn on the other side of the door as you try to escape to heal with guthans. Just always bring safety food and ring of life. Slowly but surely you'll get your stuff back.
