Kurasks

Is it just me or are these things quite decent Ranged experience? The broad arrows are the same as adamant and are VERY cheap - like 60 gp at full stock.

 

 

 

-There's safe spots in the NW corner and it takes about 2 minutes to get there (fairy rings)

 

 

 

-They have decent drops (White mystic body, 30 nats and a bunch of insta-alch items)

 

 

 

-They would also be decent slayer experience, but I'm just killing them for fun.

 

 

 

If you ever run out of food/arrows then the fairy ring is a 2 minute run away. Just jump in, fill up on food and visit Chaelder for some arrows :)

 

 

 

 

 

So why do people say they're useless and pointless? :-s I like them O:)

I bought 500 for 40k, I've lost about 120 so far after about 16k Ranged experience.

 

 

 

I think the exp is great, I usually train with Crystal which isn't renowned for it's speed -.-

I think theyre slow, the arrows are too expensive, the runes are a bit expensive too.. theey are bad for melee, and I dont exactly rate the drops highly. Also, I cant use the faery rings.

Broad arrows are not the same as addy arrows. I hit 15 with addies on fast range, and only 14 with broad arrows, i do hit 15's with spec.

 

And yes they are great xp, slayer and rangexp.

Reason i like:

 

Good exp

 

easy to kill

 

 

 

Reasons i hate:

 

22gp drop....seriously :wall:

 

Bananas..... :wall:

 

Pinapples..... :wall:

 

 

 

They are good exp, but the drops are rubbish.

Kurask is one of my favorite slayer tasks

 

 

 

-good xp

 

-great range xp

 

-i always manage decent drops

 

 

 

And don't say the arrows are expensive because you almost always get a clue and end up making the cost of arrows back through drops.

the way i see it: the drops pay (mostly) for the arrows,

 

 

 

plus, i'd better stop by there sometime soon to try for a kurask head (need to display my slayer prowess... rawr)

i did one kurask task ages ago- hated them, skipped many since

While Kurasks are quite good range and slayer exp, they get boring really fast. More often then now the drops pay for my arrows, but not always. At this point I only do those tasks in an attempt for a head, no luck so far after close to 1000. Judgeing by how many kills it takes some people to get one, I guess I have a lot of work to do.
